The location was very close to the train station which is why I chose it. Very dated hotel (still uses regular keys and doors don't self lock; have to make sure you lock your door like at your own home), but pretty clean. Stayed in a non-smoking floor and room; however you can smell cigarette smoke permeating from the vents from the smoking floors above/below. Makes it hard for someone with asthma to be comfortable. If my stay were longer than just an overnight, I probably would have brought it up with management. Breakfast was mediocre, but can get free, decent, cup of coffee, which in Japan can run about 450-500 yen.

My friend and I don't the smell in the room; we booked the non-smoking room but the smell in the room was very pleasant. the bed/mattress was a little bit hard for us and don't seem very clean to us. Our body felt itchy after..disappointed

The staff at the hotel was extremely nice, however, during our stay several things broke down. They were very apologetic and we only stayed one night so cannot say how quickly things would have been fixed. For one night, its fine. I wouldn't recommend staying for much longer. Also, while we had requested a non smoking room, there was some residual smoke smell that permeated the room anyway.

Good central location to attractions

Hotel is located two stations away from Nagoya station via the Sakura and located evenly between Nagoya Castle, Nagoya Tower and the station. The room is a couple of blocks off a major street so noise and traffic were minimal. Room was good size for business hotel but decor was dark, and the elevated bathroom floor had a soft spot in the middle that sank. The bed mattress was rock hard which may bother some but was fine for me. Had an older style manual controlled AC unit which I prefer over the electronically controlled ones with Japanese instructions. Since hotel is located among offices, restaurant options are few and many don't open till 6:00 PM but stay open till midnight.

Would return if back in Nagoya

Hotel is a very quick subway ride from Nagoya station. Got a triple bed room and and all three beds were different sizes but these were the BEST beds my friends and I slept on while in Japan in our 3 week trip. Nagoya Castle is also walk-able (15-20mins). Only thing I didn't like was the extreme water temperature change with minimal adjustment in the sink and shower.

Not great I'm afraid

Not a great location although the subway is reasonably close by. Breakfast is ok, rooms are very small and the bed was "rock" hard and not very comfortable. We asked to change rooms but were told all beds are the same. Staff are pleasant. I can't give this hotel my recommendation.

Great service hotel in a quiet neighbourhood

Hotel 1-2-3 Nagoya Marunouchi is basically located just round the corner (200m) from Exit 2 of Marunouchi subway station. Marunouchi area is very quiet (both day and night) as it is a business district. If you are looking for vibrancy (eateries and shopping), this is not the area you should be staying. Nagoya station, Oso Kannon and sakae area are better. The hotel staff speak relatively good English and are very helpful indeed. My single room is clean and comfortable for 4 nites stay. Smoking and non-smoking floors are clearly separated, so do not worry if you are a non-smoker. Guest tend to check in at 1130pm to midnight, so it might disturb you a bit (with banging of doors) as the soundproofing of room is not especially great. The breakfast (included) are great and delicious. The main dish changes everyday so you could have variety at least. I have Japanese curry, noodles, meat balls, potato salad, pasta salad etc. Coffee machine is free throughout the day until 10pm. You could have warm milk dispensed from this machine too. 2nd floor is a chill out area, with pool table and massage chair FOC. I would recommend this hotel if you prefer quiet neighbourhood and near to subway.
