The Calm Cottages is a haven for those wishing to get away from the hustle bustle of daily life and experience nature on a grand scale. A beautiful residence nestled in the peaceful surrounding of unpoised wilderness.
The Calm Cottages is a family home offering four rooms for guests in Nathuakhan, 18 kilometers from Mukteshwar, 40 km from Nainital, in Uttarakhand.
2 Cottages with attic named Buransh and Brahmkamal add luxury and class housing upto 4 guests each.
The space
Our tag line “Come Here Do Nothing” is apt as guests actually come to us and do Nothing except rest, relax and rejuvenate. No alarm clocks required, as the guests wake up to the birds chirping and enjoy morning tea in a spectacular surroundings of mountains.
At a maximum capacity of 12 people, the emphasis in The Calm Cottages is on privacy and on tranquility.

We offer four inviting and tastefully decorated rooms with attached bathrooms. Each room comes with a balcony with excellent views of the surroundings. Out of these, two rooms have an attic. The attic is an added attraction for both kids and adults.

We guarantee that The Calm Cottages will rejuvenate your body and soul.

Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner can be arranged on request and charged extra.
Guest access
Guests can enjoy the lawns, orchards, common room which has a TV, a small collection of books and Board Games.
Other things to note
1.Room service is not available. The meals are offered as per preset menu, and are served in the common dining area as per the following timings:

Breakfast: 9-10.30 Am Lunch: 1-2 Pm Dinner: 7.30-9 Pm

2.Loud music or noise in the guest rooms/open area is prohibited as a mark of comfort of other guests and the serenity of the village.

3.In the absence of electricity we will provide hot water in buckets.

4.Showers are provided in the bathroom but we request you to use buckets as water is a scarce commodity in hills……. Let’s save water together.

5.In our endeavor to provide an atmosphere where the families can spend time together we do not have TV’s in the rooms. Should you need, we do have a TV in our common room.

6.We would appreciate your taking permission before plucking of fruits, vegetables and flowers.

7.We trust our staff completely, yet we would request you to take care of your valuables by yourself. The management is not responsible for any loss of valuables.

8.We will not be able to offer any refunds on rents due to shortened stays or ruined expectations because of weather conditions or due to work and family emergencies or other commitments.

9.We do not accept credit cards/personal cheques for payments.

10.For your own safety put the sigris outside the room/turn off heaters, before going to bed.
