WHAT IS A KOMET CANAL BOAT STAY ALL ABOUT?
A Komet Canal Boat stay is about doing something a little different.
It's about swapping the predictable hotel room for your own canal boat, stepping aboard, closing the door and discovering a slower, more relaxed way to spend a night or two together.
Our boats remain comfortably moored at beautiful Aqueduct Marina in the Cheshire countryside, so there's no boating experience required and nowhere you have to navigate. You simply arrive, settle in and make the boat your own for the duration of your stay.
But Komet isn't just about providing somewhere unusual to sleep.
We want staying aboard to be part of the adventure.
You might pour a drink and watch the marina settle down for the evening. Pick up the guitar and play a few songs. Challenge each other to an old-school game. Choose a favourite from our collection of around 250 DVDs, put your feet up and have a proper movie night.
As darkness falls, take the telescope outside and explore the night sky. If you fancy a little fishing, you can even cast a line from the bow.
Or do absolutely nothing.
Sit outside with a coffee in the morning, watch the wildlife and boats, listen to the water and enjoy having nowhere you particularly need to be.
That's really what Komet is about.
We've taken the wonderful character and heritage of Britain's canal boats and combined it with the comforts, little touches and activities that make a short break feel like an experience.
And when the occasion deserves something extra, we can help make it special with breakfast, afternoon tea, cheese and charcuterie, BBQ and drinks packages.
