Lovely large apartment in a beautiful historic building
Beautiful apartment on the first floor of the Palazzo Spagnolo, on a very lively Naples street. The apartment is air conditioned throughout and the bedrooms (two en-suite and the third next to a separate bathroom) are thankfully not facing the main street so are blissfully quiet. Only the kitchen faces the street and has a small balcony from which you can watch the world go by.
It’s only a short walk to the archeological museum and also the two metro stations of Cavour and Museo. The popular tourist street Via Tribunali is also walkable.
The kitchen looked to be well equipped, but of course as we were in Naples we never needed to cook! Lovely cafe at the beginning of the street was our favourite spot for fresh breakfast pastries, although there were many other cafes, bakeries and corner shops and a small supermarket also on the street, which also had a daily market.
The spectacular external stairs are something of a tourist attraction (very Instagramable!), so you feel very smug jangling your keys going past them up the steps to your apartment!
