Staff extremely helpful! Good position touching Nara deer park, walkable from train station.
Good ryokan, albeit the 90’s feeling of the overall deco. Decent indoor and outdoor pools (medium-small); self-service rooftop bar for a moderate fee.
Didn’t try breakfast or other meals, just a one-night break between Kyoto and Osaka.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
This is a clean and comfortable Japanese ryokan style hotel. It's conveniently located within walking distance of many great sights and local restaurants.
This has been my favorite hotel since I began coming to Japan it was super nice and the staff was awesome and very helpful. Loved the open air bath and the break was amazing. We stayed an extra night because it was so awesome. Close to many attractions too. We will definitely be back
The staff were very professional and polite. They also explained everything you needed to know about the services provided at the hotel. Great service!
The breakfast though expensive was a unique experience for us. I recommend it for someone never tasted a genuine lavish Japanese breakfast.
The bath facility was nice; definitely worth trying out. I liked the massage chair in the lobby as well. Everything worked as expected. My room was the smallest in the building but it still felt reasonably spacious. The staff was very attentive. I asked for help to arrange airport transport. They went above and beyond to make sure i got all the details right.
A top notch experience with amazing staff and service. Exceptional rooms and beds. The only negative, and I’m searching here, would be the carpet in the common area needs to be cleaned. I highly recommend!
Fabulous. Could not have been better. Across the street from the tourist office and within walking distance of all the gorgeous shrines, museums, and historic points of interest. Also easily walked to very special restaurants after using the hot baths. Most important, the staff could not have been more wonderful. They went above and beyond on every occasion — including escorting us to our cab with umbrellas in the rain. Our favorite so far.
