Our host was very accommodating. We did not have any issues.The barn was charming and quaint, with all the ammenities you could need. We had family in from Ottawa, Canada Louisville,Ky Yuma, Az and they all want to rent the barn again next year.

Host contacted us around noon on the day of our arrival and asked what time we would be arriving. We stated 5 or so (standard checkin is 4pm). Host informed us they were performing maintenance on the stove but assured us it would be ready when we arrived. We informed her we planned to use the kitchen to prepare dinner and were again assured it would be ready when we arrived. We got there around 5:30 and stove was not working. We contacted the host and were told the tech had to go get a part and would return in 30 min to finish. We settled in and went for a walk. Returned hoping to start dinner but tech still hadnt returned at 7 pm. Tried to contact the host multiple times with no response. Searched property for propane tank for the grill hoping to prepare dinner another way but there was none. Searched for local takeout but nothing open. Drove to nearest store and purchased a propane tank. Took over 30 min since rental was remote. At 9 pm finally got propane and began cooking. Kids were hungry and grumpy. Technician showed up at 9:30 pm to finish repairing stove so had to stop using kitchen while he worked. Host finally called back and sounded irritated stating she told us about the issue. I reminded her that she assured us the place would be ready when we arrived at 5 pm. Forcing us to wait 4 1/2 hours to cook dinner for the family was completely unacceptable. We requested reimbursement for the propane tank and host refused. Do not recommend this place or these hosts.

Kids loved table swings. We all enjoyed movie room. Beds were very comfortable. Nice fire pit and lots of entertainment choices. Couple of issues: karaoke mics don’t work and the heat in the game room just couldn’t keep up with the cold.

The house was super neat but very poorly maintained, chairs around the fire pit were dry rotted and broken, playground slide was broken and unsafe, no outlets in kitchen area. Pans were pleeling with nonstick coating, dryer nob was broke so couldnt adjust it. The pictures showed a beautful event area that i oaid an additional 350 dollars to have an event there Iwas having a wedding and that area was full of trash and junk we were forced to move it all out and put it back. Lawn area where we were planning set up was a giant burn pile of cabnits and wood so terrible for pictures. It would have been a really cool place but needs new equipent and to be cleaned up.
