Right away upon entry we were disappointed in the old musty smell of the home. It was pretty much dirty overall, sticky floors, old smelly towels, dirty bathrooms, shower tiles cracked and moldy, every area had dust that seemed to have been gathering for quite sometime, dishes in the dishwasher… The beds downstairs were old and wore out as well as the furniture in the living room. The comforter on my bed had a hole in, it and the sheets were flipped making me think the may had just been flipped over from the last guests instead of changed. The water in the hot tub appeared to be clean and clear however, the chemical imbalance was overpowering. There is a basement with an entry through the living room where some of that powerful stench was coming from. The upstairs and the furniture was much nicer. The children’s game room was a lot of fun for them. There are however, a couple doors where there are entries into the attic. Not good for parents who have inquisitive children. It was a quiet neighborhood and easy to get response from the hosts. However, they did message and let us know they needed to get something out of their garage outback if that was ok and let us know when they were on the property getting the trash for pickup, I believe the next day. We did not have as many guests and the host refunded the charge for those guests that were not able to make it. It was a roomy home with a lot of space for guests as advertised. The cleanliness will keep us from staying again.
