Our group stayed here for a girls’ weekend in Nashville, and while the house itself was fine, the host experience was extremely disappointing.The positives:The property was perfect for a girls’ trip, spacious with three bedrooms, each with its own TV, which made it easy for everyone to unwind after a busy day. The back porch with the fire pit was a highlight. We spent a lot of time relaxing out there. The home was clean overall, though there were a few wall dents from previous guests.The negatives:Unfortunately, the check-in process was unacceptable. We didn’t receive any check-in information until four hours after check-in time, leaving us stranded at the airport unsure if we even had a place to stay. After spending over an hour on the phone with Vrbo customer service, who were ready to move us to a hotel, the host finally sent a short message with the code, no apology, and no instructions. Once inside, there was no house manual, no Wi-Fi details, and no check-out information. It took nearly 15 hours before we finally received the Wi-Fi code, and we had ongoing issues locking the smart lock, which took multiple tries and a lot of frustration. The house also smelled strongly of marijuana upon arrival.While the host did refund one night as compensation, the overall lack of communication made the stay stressful.Bottom line: The home itself is great for groups, but unless the host dramatically improves communication/check-in organization, I would not recommend staying.
