Motifs staff was extremely warm and welcoming! The room was bigger and better than expected, amazing price, and having coffee available in the morning in the lobby is a wonderful touch. I will say best hotel I’ve stayed at yet! Definitely will be returning in the future

The front desk person was rude. The first room I was placed in shower didn’t work properly and water was all over the hall floor. I was offered another room and allowed to move. Secondly, my room key was deactivated before my 11:00 am checkout time.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, in a safe area, central and convenient, friendly helpful staff. Within walking distance to Vanderbilt campus and medical center. I appreciated that the heated pool was open in December and available until 10P. I wish there had been some heat lamps in the sitting area around the pool.

Upon looking around once I checked in, I found a McDonald’s French fry box in the cabinet above the microwave. That alone showed me that cleaning is done lightly and not thoroughly. With as many people that check in and out of there, that’s interesting. Also, the pots and skillet were gross. We definitely had to wash a few times before using. The $51/night for valet parking is a bit extortionate and the front desk lady wasn’t personable at all. Overall, Motif was alright. I wouldn’t stay again.

Room was superb, clean. When asking staff where to get return shuttle (what street) they said they didn’t know but where we were dropped off. We ended up getting a pricey taxi after our event. It totally defeated the purpose of getting a hotel with a shuttle. They said they didn’t know where we could park, other than the hotel valet but there were pay spots on the street. We found other parking on our own.

Clean room and comfy bed. But the tv did not move so you could not watch it from the bed. And for someone that falls asleep that way it’s a negative. $51 a night for parking is outrageous. Thank goodness I made my reservation before it went up.
