We have stayed here before and had a wonderful stay. This time we unfortunately did not enjoy it as much as we were expecting. Our shower had a constant drip and we were unable to stop the leak. The shower floor pan also was stained with a dirty film all around the edges. We found an unfolded towel also sitting on the bathroom vanity and appeared to be dirty. The king suite that we stayed in had a seperate sitting area with a couch and we found a half eaten cookie under the couch. Since we were staying for only one night and we checked in late, we did not bring these items to the attention of the staff. We did feel as the room had been cleaned, just not the the standards we thought we would expect from our last stay. We love the quaint and peacefulness of the hotel, but I believe it just needs some attention.

Front desk staff super nice. However- parking SUCKS. My daughter and I were there alone and we were told to park across the street in the dark- absolutely not. Asked for historic view room- was view of back parking lot. Room shown had tub- mine had shower. Fridge wasn’t cold. Bed was VERY uncomfortable. Will not stay again

Property is old but has not been kept up very well. The A/C throughout the hotel was not working properly. Hallways were so hot and humid, and very musty smelling, as well as full of dirty towels outside the door of each room

My room was dirty, from the second I walked through the door, hair and other debris was on the floor, it was also sticky and had not been properly swept or mopped. I had no tissue in my bathroom and immediately had to call down to the front desk and ask for someone to bring up tissue. The layers of dust is crazy and the most uncomfortable thing about my stay was grabbing a folded “clean” towel only to feel that it was already damp. I immediately threw it because I wasn’t sure if it was damp from the previous guest using it or if housekeeping did not finish drying towels and restocked the room with them in an effort to rush. Either way deplorable. I will never stay there again.

TERRIBLE. I stayed here last September, no problems. Was there for the last two days, it was terrible. First night, got there, the toilet would fill and flush, changed rooms, the door would open without putting a shoulder into it. Next night, had to change rooms because I wanted to stay an extra night, that door was the same way. Never staying there again ever. Too many other choices.

Great hotel, though the rooms are a little dated. Bed linens could be better as there was one thin cover and no undersheet and pillows were a little lumpy. The overall cleanliness was good. The a/c is a bit noisy, but efficient. The location of the hotel is excellent - close to restaurants and shops, and the parking is convenient (either behind the hotel or in the overflow lots literally a 2 minute walk away). Finally, staff is super nice and welcoming I loved chatting with them at breakfast! I would happily stay here again.

Check in was easy - hotel upkeep was subpar. The air conditioner in our room had water damage around the trim & made a very bad rattling noise. Water pressure was low - & the bathroom could use a deep scrub. We’ve stayed several times and although not a perfect stay it was one of our better experiences.

The hotel is nice, but starting to show wear and tear and could use some maintenance. Only one elevator worked and I was on the third floor. I tried using the fire stairwell and it only has access to ground floor for exiting so I couldn’t use the stairs to go between the 2nd & 3rd floors easily. The showers are so relaxing & spacious bathrooms you don’t get claustrophobic in with two people getting ready at the same time.

The hotel had large hallways and a large reception area. The furniture in the room gave it an upscale feeling. Breakfast was good. We could walk to the quaint shops and a few restaurants. We would stay there again.

The hotel charged my debit card for the full amount of the stay over a week prior to my reservation date, when the terms of the reservation said payment was due at check-in. Expedia reps unsuccessfully tried to resolve this with hotel management and ultimately advised that I would have to deal directly with the hotel. Upon checking in, I was told I would be charged a $100 deposit because the hotel was fully booked that night?! When I said I’d already paid the bill in full, I was told that as soon as the employee checked me into the computer, the charge was debited to my card on record and would be refunded upon checkout. I expressed my dissatisfaction with that, particularly since the hotel did not advise of the deposit at booking and already had had use of my money for a week prior to the agreed-upon payment time. The employee said that when she had reported other guests’ concerns about being charged in full well in advance of check-in, hotel management told her that instructions to continue doing so came from the corporate office. It’s inconvenient enough that hotel parking is across the street and half a block over from the property, but there was no valet service available. I had booked a room with a courtyard view but was assigned a room overlooking a side street and garbage dumpster. More trivial cons were an ironing board but no iron, scratchy bedsheets, and a luggage cart w/ a flat tire that made navigating w/ it difficult, but again, no valet service available.
