Great stay in Navojoa.

We are driving from Mazatlan to the Nogales-Mariposa crossing. Yesterday we arrived at the Best Western Hotel del Rio in Navojoa. We’ve stayed here since 2007 on our driving trips to/from Mazatlan. Here are the benefits - Scrupulously clean! -Excellent on-site Los Arcos restaurant (our delicious dinners for 2, 780 pesos with tip. -Inexpensive hotel cost includes free breakfast includes papaya, scrambled eggKmand ham, coffee or tea. -Pool, hot tube, children’s playground. -Newly redecorated dining room Finally, we heartlery recommend Del Rio!

This was a first for us at the Del Rio we were very disappointed. We normally stay here every year going to and from Nayarit. This time our room was not ready, the pool was not cleaned while we were there. We went for dinner and they had no red wine and only miniature bottles of white ( a total of four was all they had there was eight of us for dinner) In the morning we waited over an hour after ordering breakfast and it never came. Not even our coffee or juice. We ended up leaving. Not sure this will be a future stop for us as they are letting their standards slip.

Lovely place.. The only reason I gave 4 stars is the beds are so hard, but that is typical of Mexico, I am 65 and need a great comfy bed to sleep. We left so early, I forgot to leave a tip for the maid. So sorry. we will double it next time we travel through. Dee Saale
