Activities nearby: Vieregge, a tranquil little fishing village, is located directly on the Breetzer Bodden in the northwest of the island of Rügen. It is part of a whole chain of Bodden waters in the Western Pomerania Lagoon Area National Park. Thousands of cranes rest here in autumn and offer a spectacular natural spectacle. The Bodden is an ideal area for all kinds of water sports and is also very popular with anglers. Only a few kilometers away from Vieregge is the Schaabe, a 12 km long spit which, with its fine sand, is one of the most beautiful bathing beaches on Rügen.
