Rooms clean and updated, good tv, newish appliances. No bad smells, no rust, etc. 2x Free drinks everyday and light snacks was a Plus. Breakfast had many options! Plenty of seats n tables All over the lobby/downstairs. Plenty of parking but filled up quick @ $12 a day. Staff was very friendly n typical Southern hospitality. For a picky guy like me, I was very impressed

We loved that it was easy to navigate around. It was in safe neighborhood and the staff was very professional and polite. The only thing that was hard to find was the menu for the on site restaurant. We had to go to the bar and order and aparently there is a QR code on the dresser and under the living room tv. I would have thought that they would be placed next to phones in the room.

Overall it was a good stay and hotel was clean. However, we did need an extra blanket and it took probably longer than 45 minutes to get it after two trips to the service desk. Most likely they had ran out. Also, since there is a convention center, the breakfast area became chaotic with an influx of people and it didn't seem that there was enough staff to keep up because they ran out of food, cups, areas were messy and the tables dirty.

Short birthday trip

The staff was extremely nice and we love the style of embassy suites, the renovation is great. The pool was closed which was a bummer cause I had a great view of it from my room. My fridge didn’t get very cold, it may had been off for days before we got there, but my son’s room had a fridge so we used his. Staff offered to fix the fridge but we were done with people after the outlets and leaving early anyway

Me gusto el trato de los empleados y las facilidades. Sin embargo les falta seguridad, para bregar con huespedes problematicos. Durante la estadia otro huesped me toco la puerta en horas de la madrugada en 3 ocasiones y en otros cuartos tambien lo hizo, tambien estaba pidiendo dinero a los huespedes y alterando la paz. Por esa razon mi niña se asusto tanto que me solicito que no me quedara alli por mi seguridad.

Terrible , they are really really short on people and when we asked for coffee (regular because they never left anything but decaf) they took years to deliver it and it was decaf again; they were never able to fix an AC problem and either we froze or were extremely hot the hole night. Terrible experience.

Check in was not pleasant. Long line & our receptionist was very grumpy, and later claimed to be the property manager. That card didn’t work! I went down to the receptionist again and she me another card. That card worked but the room was occupied!!!!! The same receptionist gave me both cards and claimed that it was my mistake bc of the written room #. She had taken information on the card and papers from me. She also claimed I misread the room # but she had that info. After going back and forth for 20 minutes, the receptionist walked us to our correct room. If she was the manager, then she needs lessons on manners and professionalism. In addition, the evening reception was crude. Old veggies, a few peanuts and potatoe chips. This morning breakfast was similar to the breakfasts that I have had there before. The so called “hot” foods were like luke warm and way below proper serving temperatures, esp. the eggs, bacon & sausage. I requested the main food worker to increase the food heating units from #2 and he did so to #4. This guy knew better but didn’t care. The coffee was like dishwater and the food selection was limited. The silverware holders were really nasty. This is probably the best hotel in San Marcos. There was a recent renovation. Our room was quite nice. I don’t think we’ll be back.
