Our room facing the river was not the usual bland hotel room, more of a an eclectic boho feel. The room had 2 very comfortable queen beds, comfortable linens & pillows. Spacious bathroom with a barn door & great walk in shower. The manager and staff were very welcoming, especially liked the complimentary cocktail, their version of an Arnold Palmer with Deep Eddy Sweet Tea vodka. This was a lovely find and highly recommend.

Checking in, staff have always been very friendly. The property is clean, with a cute theme and nice pool area. There is a lounge that normally stays one until 8 or 9 during the week (maybe later on weekends), with a full bar and code options. I prefer a room facing the center of the property- recently had one facing the highway that had a lot of road noise when sleeping.

Let me start this off by mentioning that I am a very picky person. I tend to complain about the things that may not bother others like being too close to the elevator or footsteps from rooms above me. We spent two nights at the Hacienda del Rio as part of a week long trip. This stay was far superior to the national chains we also stayed at on this trip. The resort itself offers multiple amenities including a pool, basketball, pickleball, corn hole, sauna, a bar, and many other options. It is situated on a river and appeared to also have tube rentals available. The buildings are two story with units on each floor, some having river views. The interior of the units appear to have been remodeled/restored to perfection providing modern features while maintaining old school character. I cannot say enough about the staff. Communication was stellar. Staff was incredibly friendly, responsive, and went over and above to make our stay the best it could be. If we ever return to the area, we will definitely stay at the Hacienda del Rio and commute back and forth to our other destinations. It is just that good.

Fantastic local jewel along the Guadalupe, perfect for a date night with my wife. Staff could not be more friendly, and Brandy the bartender is awesome. Great river access for paddling our inflatable SUP's, seeing turtles scooting along in the clear water and schools of alligator gar downriver. Super comfortable big king beds.
