Stayed at the hotel again based on prior experience but since the remodel, the charm and uniqueness is completely gone. History and tradition was erased almost completely. Honestly it is now just a plain hotel like any other. Probably won’t stay again because it is overpriced for what you get. Only real draw is location on Bourbon Street.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and absolutely loved it. The hotel has such a beautiful, classic charm that feels true to New Orleans. Everything was clean and well-kept, and the staff were all so friendly and welcoming. The location couldn’t be better—walking distance to everything we wanted to see. We’d definitely come back again. My room had A/C issues extremely hot in room 72 average they checked room twice after my major concerns of waking up in mid of night with room 72-73 which is not acceptable . Asked for new room but would be smaller & new credit for the balcony price I paid . Woke up in the middle of the night also with ants in my bed pic to follow. Some guy big black man bouncer was rude , disrespectful would not let me come from Bourbon street entrance with a water to go to my room. I have come to this hotel for 3 straight years for connivence of access of bourbon street entrance to go to my room but being told I need to walk around is not right. Really??? The people there are rude who never use to be . Not sure why this hotel has gone down hill heard new owners . Well I not sure why the you don’t care about your people who stay there but if I can let it be known that no one stays there I will!!! I have over a million followers boy will I let them know the horrible room conditions , people rude & how no one there is warm & friendly like the last few years. Most corporate does not care about what I said but others in the world due!!!

Good Hotel, sneaky parking charges

I suppose it would have been nice to check in earlier than 4pm, but there wasn’t a room ready. Lady on check out was a little blunt. We came back at 4pm and the room was ready. Room was small but comfortable with large TV. Pool is really nice and was able to get service out there. What I find ridiculous and, maybe this is because I’m from the UK, is that I was charged for parking and all these weird taxes. I don’t even have a driving license! I didn’t speak to the valet. This was charged to me they ran my card if I hadn’t asked for a receipt I would not have known. When I challenged it she said she would refund my card but would have to check with valet team before. This is insane it was unapologetic and felt like it probably catches people out. Bellman and the shuttle driver were lovely though!
