This stylish home is a perfect place to start your adventures in New Orleans!  Located less than a mile to the Fair Grounds & Race Course; and close to parade routes. Bayou St John is a true local's Big Easy neighborhood. Plenty of bars and dining options nearby, yet set in a quiet neighborhood. Freshly renovated, with comfortable beds, a beautiful tiled bathroom with a clawfoot tub, and plush Moroccan rugs, you won’t want to miss this place. City Park and the Bayou are a short stroll away!
This recently-renovated, charming 2 bedroom, 1 bath home is located in the Bayou St. John neighborhood of New Orleans. The home also features a large dining area, living room with Smart TV and comfortable seating, a fully-stocked kitchen, in-unit washer and dryer, a small desk & chair in one of the bedrooms, front and back porches, and a small fenced-in outdoor space in the backyard with Adirondack chairs and tables.
***Please Note*** : this home is a typical NOLA-style shotgun layout, so all of the rooms are lined up one behind the other, requiring you to walk through each one to enter the home at the front and exit in the rear.
The layout of the home is as follows, and there is a floor plan in the photos to give you a better idea of the layout: You'll enter the home through the front door and into the dining area. From there, you'll walk into the living room, then onward into the first bedroom. Continuing through that bedroom, you'll reach a hallway where the bathroom is located, then on into the second bedroom. From the second bedroom, you'll proceed into the kitchen, then finally to the back of the house where the laundry room and door to the back porch and backyard are located.

You'll be centrally located for trips around town if you brought your own vehicle, and Ubers and Lyfts are easy to come by in the area at any time. You'll also be three blocks from bus stops on Orleans Ave if you choose to use public transportation.
Like many homes in New Orleans, there is no driveway or parking included with this stay, but there is plenty of free street parking available in the neighborhood and in front of/around the house.
New Orleans is prone to hurricanes and other storms, sometimes outside of the normal season. Please note that we do not move, cancel, or provide refunds or credits for any reason, including COVID, road conditions/closures, travel cancellations, and weather conditions. If you think you may need to cancel for any reason, we HIGHLY SUGGEST that you purchase trip insurance or book closer to your travel dates.
**There is a $200 security/damage deposit collected 3 days prior to arrival, and returned shortly after your stay. This is done as a $200 hold on your method of payment, not a full charge. Please see the rental agreement (required to be read and signed before booking) for more details. ***
1. The booking guest must have their ID uploaded to their profile.
2. Please be mindful of the neighbors sleeping. We recommend being quiet after 8:30pm (weekdays including Sundays) and 9:00pm (weekends).
3. While early check-in / late checkout may be available, this must be arranged ahead of time for an extra fee. Unauthorized Late checkouts are a $50 charge for each hour after 11am - a 15 minute grace period is given. Late checkouts MUST be requested before 9PM the day before your departure.
4. Clean towels are a provided amenity, there is a washer and dryer in the unit if you need a refresh!
5. Smoking & vaping in the unit will result in a $500 deodorization fee.
6. Unregistered guests and parties are prohibited by local laws and ILLEGAL. Our occupancy limits are set by local ordinance. Any guest found to have had a party or over-occupancy will be charged a $1,000 fee for non-compliance with local laws. As of May 2022, all rental platforms have specifically banned parties from their units. Violation of this rule will result in a ban from the platform.
7. Please do not hang or attach anything to the walls with push pins, tape, etc. or other painted surfaces.
8. Please do not use face towels to remove makeup, it damages the towels. There are makeup towels provided for this use.
9. If the space is left excessively dirty $50 will be charged for each additional hour of cleaning required. Removal of bodily fluids will result in a charge of $150. Glitter cleanup will result in a charge of $100.
10. Pets are NOT allowed at this listing. Unauthorized pets will result in an additional $250 deep cleaning cleaning fee and immediate request to leave. Pet Boarding recommendations available upon request.
11. After you’ve read these rules, please send me a message with the words “yellow kangaroo” it will let me know that you have read the rules thoroughly.
12. Unfortunately, we cannot accept bookings from “Locals” at this time. Locals is meant to include anyone residing within 60 miles of New Orleans.
13. While we cannot receive any mail or packages to the space we will assist with getting packages shipped to New Orleans if needed.
14. Commercial video and photo shoots are strictly forbidden without prior and authorized consent. Associated day-rate fees, liability waivers and copyright contracts will apply if consent is given.
15. Message us for long term stays.
16. Trash & recycling is picked up on Monday.
17. All of our TV's are streaming, we do not provide any account information, you will have to log into your own. Please remember to log out at check out. We do not have cable TV.
18. Should you wish to receive an early check-in or late check-out, please let us know the day before and we will determine if it's possible. We require time to prepare the unit for your stay or after your stay for the next guest and sometimes we are unable to accommodate. If we can accommodate, we will charge $25/hour for the additional booking time. This will also be in place for dropping luggage off or leaving your luggage after checkout time has passed. 19. Lost Items: We return lost items for a $75 flat fee. This is to cover shipping costs, along with the time spent to retrieve & mail your item. If you leave anything at the unit, please let us know immediately.
