Great Location, Somewhat Dated

The Omni's greatest asset is it's location. You are in the heart of the French Quarter with easy walking distance to Jackson Square. However it is dated and the rooms could be cleaner. We did enjoy having a room with a balcony, otherwise the room was generic.

Other than a questionable air conditioner and pillows that collapse whennyour head touches them, the room was amazing. The staff was friendly and courteous. The balcony offered a great view of Royal Street. You are just far enough away from Bourbon to be able to sleep. The bed was very comfortable. We did not drive at all as most activities are within walking distance so I can not speak to the parking facilities, but it is all valet parking.

Let me tell you about the level of ghetto this luxury hotel is. First, the hotel hasn’t seen renovations since Jesus walked on water and if it has, they are terrible. The heated pool is not heated, which is one of the main reasons I got this hotel. The TVs suck… Our bathroom was dirty when we got here, which they did nothing about so we cleaned it ourselves… The shower must have been in the middle of repairs because there were parts in it… Be very careful of the elevators lol… But the biggest thing, if you’re looking for room, this ain’t it. If you’re looking for luxury, this ain’t it… The only thing luxurious is the name… You can find better amenities elsewhere. And their parking is only valet for $55 a night… Not bad, but I should be able to park my own car. Also the extra fee just to stay there is ridiculous based on the room. They need a serious upgrade! With that being said, the people are amazing!! The staff were so nice and helpful! Literally every, single, person! It was amazing to see and be around people that you can tell love what they do. Also, the bar was nice!

The room had very little walking space around the bed. The toilet handle kept sticking and the tank would not fill. Had no hot water for one and a half days and only one elevator was working for one day.
