We had the Jazz Fest room. It was so comfy & inviting. We loved it! Everything was very clean & the directions to get in were clear. We didn’t have any issues. It was walking distance to many shops & dining options. Great location. The only wish we had was for an 11am or noon checkout time instead of a 10am check out time.

I did not think it was possible to find a quiet place in the French Quarter till I stayed here. Even on New Year's Eve, there was minimal noise. It's great to stay in an historic property so close to all the action but far enough away to sleep well. Frenchman Street and all of its live music is a 10 minute walk away. Favorite locals food joints Coop's Place, Clover Grill and Verti Marte are also no more than a 15 minute walk from the property. The AC worked well and so did the heater (temps went from near 80 to below 40 during the Christmas week.) French Quarter architecture, history, museums and much more are all within walking distance. It's even less than a half hour's walk to Canal Street and the CBD. The room is small but efficient. Comfy bed, full bath, mini fridge, coffee maker and just enough room to store your stuff. I could here other guests at the inn -- through the old walls -- but they got quiet by 11 p.m. at the latest. The shared patio was great for sitting at while it was warm out. Other guests were great about observing quiet hours. There is zero on site staff, but the operators are quick to answer emails. An extra blanket and sheet was quickly dropped off. I had a small issue with mold in the wall AC/heat unit. I did not notice till I caught a respiratory issue on my final day. The property addressed the issue (and I hope -- cleaned the wall unit before the next guest used my room. Overall, a very cost effective way to immerse in New Orleans history.

The walkway to The Blue Room (Room 5) and Room 6 is very narrow and has air conditioning units extending about 8 inches just below one's shoulder height. I was unable to get my suitcase up the 3 steps to my room only by semi-crawling and pushing it up the stairs. My handicap stand up walker was even more difficult to get up to my room. There are no notices of the narrow corridors when booking it. If you are handicapped, only Rooms 1 to 4 have normal access.

Great little spot. Everything i could have wanted being in the quarter (in the quiet peaceful part). So adorable including the courtyard and very accessible to walk anywhere. A great find!

This is a historic building that is in deep need of a dehumidifier. You have to run the window A/C unit to cut the damp in this small room. The window A/C unit is full of black mold, so in essence you blow black mold air at yourself the whole time.

Perfect retreat for my celebration of life trip to NOLA! The Bunk House room is a gem with its unique, solid bunk bed and dreamy wall art creating a magical ambiance. Though not large, the room is thoughtfully organized, feeling spacious and functional. The powerful AC and fan were lifesavers in the heat, and the shower's water pressure was incredible after city explorations. Loved the practical touches - great coffee maker, mini-fridge and microwave for storing late-night po' boys from NOLA Poboys on Bourbon Street. The location is unbeatable - steps from Golden Lantern, minutes from major attractions, yet surprisingly peaceful day and night. I was just 6 minutes from Lafitte's where my friend's second line began, and could easily stroll to Jackson Square and Frenchman Street. The charming courtyard with magnolia trees offered a tranquil space between adventures. Hosts were attentive without being intrusive, and their comprehensive guest book provided excellent local recommendations. Royal Barracks gave me an authentic neighborhood feel with tourist-free access to popular spots. It connected me with my late friend's spirit of adventure in ways a standard hotel couldn't. Whether solo or with a companion, the Bunk House offers a peaceful, convenient, uniquely New Orleans experience. Already planning my return!

The location and privacy of the guest house is fantastic! It has quintessential old New Orleans charm. The bed was clean and comfortable, and the shower hot. AC cold. A dehumidifier in the room helped keep it even more temperate. That said, the property is in dire need of some love and upkeep. The courtyard is lovely, but needs cleanup and mosquito treatment. Wi-Fi was impossibly slow at times. A curtain rod in my room kept falling down. Lots of dust bunnies. It met my needs, but I probably wouldn’t stay here again.
