Positives: The property is newer and offers a great space for families. The bedrooms are large and spacious and having a kitchen/ living area was great. I love this area of New Orleans and the restaurants are fabulous everywhere you turn.
Negatives:
1. The communication was poor. I reached out weeks ago to change our guest count from 3 to 4 (well within the limit) but no one ever responded to me. I was told I would get the check-in information 24-48 hours before check-in and I received it at 1:40am on the day of our arrival (so about 16 hours and a very inconvenient time). They did however send multiple annoying reminders to check-out by 10 am. It’s especially annoying when it feels like that’s the most important thing to Hosteeva - to rush you out by 10am.
2. On that note, the check-in and check-out times are difficult (4pm and 10am). Especially when compared to hotels. And even if the room is ready you cannot check in early unless you pay a fee. There is nowhere to store bags so you have to plan and prep very wisely. I own two short term rentals and we always try to accommodate our guests if the room is ready or at least provide access to the pool
Bathrooms to change, etc.
3. The view, or lack there of. The balcony and windows overlook a dingy parking lot and garage. It says “city view” which is a misleading.
4. noise. This room is on common street and it is right above a loading dock area for the Cambria hotel next door. Don’t expect to sleep at night.
