Summary:

This is one of our newest additions for the Avenwood Cabin lineup! You will feel right at home in Owl's Tale. Upon entering, you will be pleased to find our beautiful double sided fireplaces and the queen bed will get you feeling cozy right away. Step onto the porch for a soak in the hot tub, make your favorite meal on the charcoal grill, or relax with a fire. The perfect little getaway cabin to unplug and unwind!



The Neighborhood:

All of our Avenwood cabins are in the heart of Wayne National Forest. ATVs and horseback riding or just a few of the offerings that they offer. Hocking Hills attractions are just a short 10-15 minute drive (Old Man's Cave, Ash Cave, etc.) along with ziplining, canoeing, hiking, and all the other adventures you are looking for! Looking for something a little bit more low-key? Take a jaunt out to Hocking Hills Winery and Brewery33 to taste some of our locally made adult beverages. For your convenience, downtown Logan is another great stop where you can grab a fresh-out-of-the-oven donut and check out some local shops.
During your stay at this cabin, you're just a quick walk from Wayne National Forest Athens Unit. A hot tub is available. Enjoy your stay with amenities like a kitchen and a fireplace in the cabin.

Perfect cabin for a relaxing weekend getaway! We especially appreciated being able to bring our dogs along — it made the trip even more enjoyable. The hot tub was a fantastic bonus and the perfect way to unwind after a day out.If you’re planning to cook, be sure to bring along basic kitchen essentials like seasonings, oil, and butter. We also brought a griddle, which came in handy. The stovetop burners took a little figuring out at first, but everything worked fine once we got the hang of it. We didn’t end up using the grill since it requires charcoal, but it’s a nice option to have.The bed was very comfortable, and overall we had a wonderful stay. We’d definitely come back!

Cute spot, easy to find and access. Board on wall that was supposed to confirm cleaning was blank, with that and the dead bugs on the floor it led me to believe it may not have been cleaned prior to our arrival. Stayed in the off season so it could have just been sitting awhile between guests. Back door would not latch, only way to keep it closed was the dead bolt. This made it hard for us both to enjoy the deck and hot tub as the door is always open and lets out all the heat.

House was lovely, super nice inside and out. The location is not great, should warn people with big vehicles or nice vehicles the gravel will hit your car and the parking is very tight.
