Overrated

The air conditioning didn’t work. Maintenance came in and replaced it in a quick , efficient manner. But the TV didn’t work. They need to do a better job and checking the rooms and testing the amenities.

It was wonderful having Penn Station so close, since we traveled via train! Overall, the immediate property was clean. We ate our meals mainly at the hotel resturant and food menu was limited but the food served rated a B+. The room temperature was overall cold. We had to keep the A/C up to 78°. If you went any higher the heat would come on. To minimize some of the cold air in the room, I placed a blanket over the A/C to make it comfortable. The bathroom was extremely small, two people could not operate at the same time in the space. The lighting by the full length mirror (entrance to the room) was very dark. That's where I put my make up on while my husband took his shower (very small bathroom). To make the situation work, I had to move a lamp by the full length mirror. Our room did have a city view which was nice! We spent two nights at the hotel. Overall the stay was good!

Mold smell

The room smelled like mold with very strong odor, shower had black substance tracing the shower. We thought the odor would tail off but unfortunately it did not. Pillow cases were offwhite and stained. Did not look clean. We had to leave within hours of arrival as we could not do a second night.

Stayed overnight after Anuel AA concert with my fiancé. Was safe. Couldn’t use the elevator without a key card nor could you enter the building after 11 without one. Perfect for the occasion. Couple blocks walk from the Prudential Center. Would definitely recommend

The only thing that I didn't like what's the fact that when I checked in I was told that my parking would be validated and he was glad I parked in the one area and then when I went to check out I found out it was like a $50 a day charge to my room

The shuttle service was good and staff. However having to move rooms 3 times was not good and it was because of tub stains and beds leaning. I would have moved a fourth time as one of the beds was leaning too, but didn’t want to Deal with moving again. Not at all what I expect from doubletree.

Location that’s about all for this hotel. If you have breakfast vouchers or want to spend USD $40 for Breakfast, the continental breakfast is better than any hotel offering breakfast.

Disappointed

We had a day out, and our room never got cleaned. We had to call front desk around 8 pm when we got back from the city. We needed towels, toilet paper, and tissues and at least for the trash to be taken out. The front desk staff was very rude and said nothing he could do about it. He said someone will be up to give us towels and someone did come eventually, about over an hour later which is now almost 9.30pm, with those items ln hand, but we had to take care of the garbage ourselves, and was told to leave the garbage and dirty towels in the hallway. This hotel was not cheap and was rated high, so i am very disappointed. Other than that the stay was fine.
