Whilst the staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel itself has become very "tired". I have stayed here for my previous 2 visits to NYC, but there are no longer free shuttles to Newark Airport, which meant more expense than expected. There was also no bar anymore. The décor and the whole place needs some sprucing up and more attention to detail would improve things dramatically. The rooms where generally clean and tidy but like I said before the attention to detail is not there, it is as though they just don't care anymore.

My room had bed bugs in the bed. The beg attacked me all over my body. The hotel refused to give me a refund. I was there for only three hours.

Not great, but not bad

The room was not especially clean. The bed was, which was nice except for the cigarette burn on the sheet. The bathroom was acceptable. The rest of the room needed a thorough cleaning and maintenance. The hotel is what you would expect. It was a cheap room for the night. It was fine for just me, and adult male, but I wouldn't bring my family by. Honestly, I'd stay again if I had a similar need.

When we drove up there were drug users outside the property and upstairs next to our room one was nodding in thr corridor. At 1:40 in the morning an employee attempted to enter our room saying that they were informed that we were checking out, but we were sleeping. I informed them that our checkout was at 11 am and no one from my group informed them of such a thing. I was told by the morning clerk that he only knew one of the names of the people that was working but not the name of the one that actually attempted to enter the room we literally had to jump up and stop him from coming in the room.
