Red Hills Retreat — Lower Carriage House

Welcome to our cozy studio apartment, a refined and serene sanctuary nestled amid the beauty of Oregon's Willamette Valley wine country.
This elegant, generously proportioned suite offers a full private bathroom and a fully equipped kitchenette, thoughtfully designed for comfort and convenience during your stay.

The apartment sits on our 10-acre hobby farm at the end of a mile-long lane bordered by hazelnut trees, vineyards, and pastures—giving you a quiet, private spot surrounded by nature.

This cozy 500 sq ft studio apartment offers a peaceful, open floor plan that blends modern and traditional touches.

INSIDE:
- Fully equipped kitchenette: plates, mugs, glasses, silverware, toaster, coffee maker, microwave, oven, stove, and fridge. Coffee and drinking water are provided (our pure country well water is delicious straight from the faucet!).
- Luxurious queen bed with fresh white linens for a great night's rest.
- Comfortable couch with a chaise lounge to stretch out and relax.
- Small kitchen table—perfect for meals or as a workspace, whether you're here for business or leisure.

OUTDOOR AREAS:
Just steps away through the ivy trellis is a seating spot where you can sip wine or read a book as the sun sets over the vineyard.
The large carriage house doors open to another small outdoor seating area, with guest parking right next to it.

AROUND THE PROPERTY:
A few friendly farm animals and our two very welcoming dogs are usually around to say hello. Many guests enjoy strolling the grounds to take in the beautiful views.

Guests have their own entrance to the carriage house, which is completely separate from the main house, so checking in is super easy even if you arrive late at night.

It's easy for you to come and go with little to no interaction with me, but I like to socialize with my guests when our paths cross, and I am always available for contact by phone or text, and I respond as quickly as I can.

This guesthouse is close to many popular Oregon destinations. It's only a 45 minute drive to Portland and the PDX airport. We are about 1.5 hours from Mount Hood and the beautiful Columbia River Gorge and just over an hour from the coast. George Fox University is about 7 minutes away in nearby Newberg, and Linfield College is 25 minutes away in McMinnville. Babica Hen Cafe, Red Hills Market, The Bistro, and a Bubble bar are minutes away in the Dundee Hills. Nationally acclaimed restaurants...The Painted Lady and Rosmarino Osteria Italiana are seven minutes away. The Jory (at the Allison) is about 10 miles east.

It's a rural area so there is no public transportation. A vehicle is necessary.

Although we try to be respectful of our guests, you may occasionally hear a few working farm noises, the bray of a donkey, or the bleating of calves or baby goats. Resident animals include a cow, two calves, four goats, a donkey, and two friendly dogs. All are accustomed to people. This is a perfect place to bring kids and families are welcome to roam the property and check out the animals.

This apartment offers its guests a garden. The front desk is open around the clock.
