A disappointing end to our travels

We have stayed at this Hotel several times and decided to stop for two nights at the end of a trip to Fiji for our Wedding anniversary. We usually stay in the king room with a balcony but decided on a King deluxe room with a nice view of the bush. We booked in and were given the keys to a “cupboard “ on the fourth floor. It was extremely hot and stuffy with no view and a Queen bed. I rang reception and said we would not stay in that room and was told they were booked out. I insisted we would not stay in that room and then the man who booked us in came up with room 220 which was certainly an improvement. Very disappointed and will think twice about staying at our “favourite “ Newcastle hotel again. We have always been treated well in the past but felt disappointed.

Overall a nice hotel !!

It was a very nice hotel.. I don’t want to say a bad word but the shower/bath situation was a bit dangerous . I nearly slipped in the bath when I was getting out of the shower. Bed was great Internet was a bit slow and our movie kept stopping lots. I gave up on watching. It was a good location though. Great to have an onsite restaurant, not that we used it but we did order room service in the evening and that was good.
