On the ground floor, is a cosy living room, and orangery– ideal for curling up with a book or gather with loved ones for a fun board game. The stylish lounge, boasts comfy sofas and for your entertainment, a Smart TV is provided, should you wish to spend time with the family watching a movie. The heart of the home is the open-plan kitchen/diner, a fantastic space for cooking, dining, and socialising. The kitchen is superbly equipped, whether you’re preparing a hearty family meal or hosting a special dinner, this space enjoys plenty of natural light, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. For more formal dining, the separate dining room offers a sophisticated setting for enjoying meals with family and friends. A further living room with doors to the patio is another relaxing space.

Steelclose Cottage can comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests. Upstairs, you’ll find two king-sized rooms, each offering a relaxing and restful environment one with a walk in wardrobe and views of the gardens. A large family bathroom with both a bath and separate shower is also located on the first floor. A further sofa bed is in the snug area for additional sleeping with a ground floor cloakroom for added convenience.

The garden and surrounding countryside provide a peaceful oasis, perfect for unwinding after a busy day. Ideally located to explore some of the North East’s finest attractions. The Derwent Walk and the C2C cycling route are nearby, making this an excellent base for outdoor enthusiasts. The National Trust site at Gibside is just 3 miles, the famous Beamish Museum (8 miles) offers a step back in time. Hadrian’s Wall and the Roman fort at Vindolanda (30 miles) offer a glimpse into the region’s rich history.
