Park View is one of the main streets in the town that has experienced the greatest rejuvenation – in 2018 it featured in The Guardian’s Top 10 Cool Shopping Districts of the World! Vacant Nests are committed to supporting and promoting our region and the wonderful local businesses who make it what it is. Whitley Bay Beach, a golden sand Blue Flag award-winning beach, stretches from Whitley Bay North towards St Mary's Lighthouse. It is a popular place for and is regularly used by walkers. The promenade and The Links have wonderful walks with the beach as a magnificent backdrop. If you time it right you can cross to St Mary's Lighthouse and watch the seals bask on the rocks. A wonderful sight.
