Carpet was worn with sharp staples exposed in room. One of the elevators was out of order which required walking up and down the parking garage ramps to get to pool. Breakfast is grab and go items not breakfast. grab and go items. By 9am the selection is very low. Staff was very friendly.

We have been visiting Elizabeth Inn for many years now. But now days the amenities have continued to be lass and less. They used to have a nice breakfast room with actual food to enjoy and now its just a bunch of prepackaged things that are not even good. Also we used to enjoy the fresh baked cookies in the evening and you could choose from several kinds. Now they just hand out one cookie per person and they are just store bought. Yet the price we pay just goes up and up. So next time we come to Newport, we will likely try another place.

The room was beautiful! Enjoyed sitting on the balcony sipping wine. Every staff member we met was kind and helpful. The chowder and cookies in the evening were a lovely treat.
