Hundred's of 5 star reviews - new host! Nye Creek Cottage welcomes you to the historic Nye Beach district! Built in the early 1900's, it is one of the district's original residences. You will be right at home in this coastal time capsule! Steps away from some of the most popular restaurants and shops in Newport, you can't beat the walkable location. Grab a unique weekend breakfast, take in the local art or shop for a book to curl up with! Enjoy the easy access to a seemingly endless expanse of sandy beach and round out the day with a drink and delicious dinner. All of this, and so much more, lies within blocks of your lovely vacation home.

As you enter Nye Creek Cottage, you are greeted by the cozy closeness of the front living room. A short look around at the decor will tell you all about the piece of history you're staying in! With a big, comfy sectional for relaxing, large TV to stream your favorite movies and shows, and a gas fireplace for warming up the cold coastal nights, the living room is sure to bring the family together after a long day of exploring. Just to the left of the living room is a bedroom perfect for kids or extra guests. It has a twin size bed with a single trundle underneath, a TV with tons of streaming options, and plenty of books to enjoy. Through the living room you'll find a spacious kitchen and dining area, with everything you could need to whip up a gourmet meal, a beach picnic, or just morning coffee! The downstairs bathroom off of the kitchen features a large, deep clawfoot tub with an attached shower to wash away the salt and sand. A stacked washer/dryer is also provided for your convenience. Walk through the kitchen and up the staircase and you'll find two cozy queen bedrooms to fall into as you listen to the ocean waves lull you to sleep. Just across from the upstairs bedrooms is another full bathroom with a tub/shower for your enjoyment.

The outdoor area in the front yard is perfect for gathering with two rocking chairs on the porch to relax in and to breath in the fresh ocean air. Enjoy the firepit and gas grill for an evening spent outside with family and friends. Watch the excitement of the bustling Nye Beach district unfold while you grill up some delicous food and tell stories around the fire!

Ants. Lots of ants. In the kitchen, in the bathrooms, in the bedrooms. Really gross. Also, bedrooms need blackout shades. Lots of light coming into bedrooms at night.

Wonderful stay

Weekend getaway. Love the town. House was actually bigger than I expected. Very clean.Beds were comfortable. Water pressure in the shower was TO.DIE.FOR! Need to update the carpet. Will stay again.

Great little house!

This little house was perfect for a short getaway. My kids appreciated having their own beds, the house was well located a block and a half from the beach and shopping.My only complaint would be the broken blinds in the main bedroom. With the windows looking directly into the windows of the neighboring building privacy was difficult.

After Christmas Getaway

Property was very nice, everything we needed except dish towels. So close to the shops in Nye Beach. I would definitely stay in this location again. Great time had by all Thank you for letting us stay in your home.

August Escape to an Older Cottage in Newport

Our three nights at this Nye Beach Cottage ended up being delightful. It's just a half-block to a restaurant, Nana's Irish Pub, and 2 blocks to several bakeries/coffee shops and 3 or 4 blocks to the beach and ocean. I was surprised that the kitchen was a bit limited - no extra spices or salt and pepper, no supplies. However we limited ourselves to breakfast at thand snack at the cottage and meals out. The thing that was disappointing is that there is an aerial view that shows the ocean 3-4 blocks and implies that it is visible from the front porch. It's not because there is a taller building and quite a hill between the cottage and beach. We got over this let down and very much enjoyed ourselves here! We would stay again!

Girls weekend

A group of 4 long time girlfriends meet at the beach every summer to visit for a few days. This house was spacious, comfortable, and had all the amenities we would need. It is in close walking distance to food, shopping, and the beach. It was a great stay!
