This property on the sixth floor of an Art Deco building (with lift) is perfectly located at the heart of the Carre d’Or. With a double aspect, the apartment has an open outlook to the East and South ensuring sunshine from sunrise over Mount Boron until late afternoon. A balcony runs the length of the apartment and is accessible from all rooms via 4 French doors. Efficiently organized penthouse level unit in the chic ‘Carré d’or’ (Gold Coast) neighborhood with gorgeous views and sea breezes from wrap around tall windows which open fully to a step-out terrace…it felt vey exclusive and the building is modern and safe. Walk to the sea shore, upscale shops and boutiques, grocery stores, restaurants, and local tram line. Perfect for the two of us. Great black out curtains when you need to sleep… since The French Riviera offers so much sunshine!Easy to cook in kitchen, nice size modern bathroom with lots of shelf space and big shower with modern fixtures… quality appliances throughout: induction cooktop, a fabulous convection oven, small dishwasher, half-size fridge, and combo washer/dryer for clothes (set it to 3, 40C, cabinet dry if you’re not familiar with this 2-in-1 machine). Dining table and chairs and very comfortable living room with TV (includes box for streaming services, easy to use).Owner and manager are very responsive and friendly. It felt like home.

It was a very convent home base to visit the Nice area. Had to adjust dates because of possible Air Craft control strike and owner was very kind and flexible and quickly refunded the dates that I rescheduled.

The space was good. Location also good. There was an issue with the shower draining and that was not so good. Some days it would drain fine but others it would flood the bathroom. The property manager was responsive in our concerns about it but it did not get resolved in our stay due to the inconsistency of it. Overall the place was good and the patio was great for morning coffee and evening wine.

Beautiful rental in a great location

This was a great place to stay for my week long trip to Nice. It was a 10 minute walk from the train station and 5-10 minute walk from the waterfront, so the location was perfect for both exploring Nice and doing day trips nearby. So many nearby shops, restaurants, and things to do, all walkable. The apartment had everything you could need - full kitchen, dining area, living room, bedroom. The balcony was lovely and the area nearby was safe and pretty quiet at night. The host was very friendly and helpful, and very responsive to messages. Highly recommend this rental and would love to come back some day.

Carnaval 2025

This was our second time staying in this apartment for Carnaval. The location is perfect for the Carnaval events as well as for exploring Nice and the surrounding area. The building is clean and quiet and the apartment is well equipped. Mehran was very accommodating and attentive. My friend and I plan on making this our annual trip together, and certainly will continue to stay here.

Place is tired

The couch is uncomfortable. The floor is lifting by the windows where rain damage has caused the wood to lift. The place needs a deep and thorough cleaning. The washer dryer combo never really dries anything, especially the bath towels. The stove only has one burner but it works fast! The location is fantastic and it is quiet at night. We loved how close all the transportation hubs were to the apartment. The restaurant across the street has great takeout.

Perfect location

The apartment is perfectly located, just a few minutes from the tram and buses and a 10 min. walk to the boulevard des Anglais. It is in walking distance to the old town and to most of the sites. Bakeries and grocery stores and many restaurants are also nearby and a 15. min. walk takes you to the train station. The apartment has a modern kitchen with all appliances and plenty of dishes. We were disappointed that because of two large portable air conditioners two of the doors to the balcony could neither be completely closed nor opened. All in all, we recommend this apartment.

A few little things were annoying. (1) Only 2 toilet rolls for 3 people for 4 nights so we had to request more (2) there were no garbage bags (3) no instructions for the washing machine so had to waste time on Google to find some. (4) No instructions for oven and microwave (5) didn't discover the drying rack on balcony until day 3 of our stay. Would have been better to be told on arrival. (6) Noisy Aircon. Maybe the owners should prepare a welcome pack with all these things in.

Great Location

Quiet apartment on top floor. Nice view, and really close to Old town,Train Station, Patisserie (Right across the street), supermarket(1/2 block away). Mehran, checked us in early, and did a walk thru. He even installed a portable A/C. Great spot!

Une belle vacance en Nice

This is a lovely snug apartment in the Carre d’Or in Nice. Everything you need from pots and pans to comfy beds and a breakfast balcony! The location is superb being a short walk to Place Massena, the Promenade, Vielle Ville and train station. The neighbourhood is full of lovely shops as well as a sinfully good patisserie just across the street. Mehran was always available and responded quickly to any text. Highly recommend and we will be back!

Perfect neighborhood!

Wow! This apartment had it all! It was in the best location (1 block from a subway, 5 blocks from the regional train, 2 blocks from a HUGE restaurant strip). It also had a great balcony with views of the city and surrounding hills. The beach was a 10 minute walk away. My host contacted me via whatsapp, so its good if you have that app. I would definitely stay here again!

Côte d’Azur delight

What a wonderful apartment from which to explore Nice and other beautiful places along the Côte d’Azur. Being so central meant we only needed the excellent public transport for our coastal outings. We enjoyed walking through the elegant and lively streets, the sea, sun and lots of gastronomic delights. Great galleries, churches and shops for the occasional rainy intervals. Nice has lots of good cafés to enjoy people watching too. The apartment was very comfortable and we’d been left lots of ideas to help us plan our days and dinners. Many thanks.

Lovely, Small Nice Apartment

Excellent location, very close to old town and Promenade ‘de Anglaise. I walked everywhere. The aforementioned problem with the key an the elevator did not exist. The surround balcony was a definite plus. The property manager M. Hamilton went above and beyond. I would definitely rent this property again.

Great location, but needs better AC

The location can't be beat, however, the air conditioning is borderline non existent. Staying in June-July, it was nearly impossible to sleep as it was so hot and the bulky air conditioner was insufficient to cool the living room, never mind the bedroom. Elevator didn't work for 2 days, so my elderly husband was pretty much confined to the apartment as he was unable to do 6 floors of stairs and unfortunately the TV didn't work either so he was quite bored. The property manager replaced it 4 days later with a new one. Dishwasher also didn't work, but was not an inconvenience for us. Combo oven/microwave/grill takes a little practise to figure out. Everything one would need is in the apartment, but the balcony is very dirty and uninviting, nothing resembling the photograph in the listing. Lots of charges in addition to the fee stated.. Cleaning fee, linen fee, service fee, tax of course and an unknown charge listed as additional charges. Never did know what that was for. Altogether added up to an additional 1/3 of our lodging price on a 9 night stay. Having said the negative, I could possibly be persuaded to stay here again in a cooler season as the location was so convenient.

Good location but a few issues need addressed

The property is in a good location and not far from the old town. The apartment is very well equipped for a stay for 4 but there are a few issues that could be improved upon. There was no shower gel provided and only 1 toilet roll. Basic items like these should be supplied as anywhere else we have stayed always provide them. The apartment is on the 6th floor and there is a problem with the elevator. It 'screeches' on the way up and down and most times the doors would not open on the 6th floor. We had to get off at the 5th floor and walk up. The light in the hallway outside the apartment door is not working making it very hard to find the keyhole in the dark. The air conditioning is very poor and doesn't' do anything to keep the apartment cool. At the height of the summer this could be a problem. Luckily there are a number of french doors that can be left open to let the breeze in. I think the sofa bed has seen better days as you just roll into the middle of it. The owners provided a book containing information how the appliances worked, bus routes and times, recommendations on places and restaurants to visit in Nice etc, which was very helpful. This would be a very good apartment if some of the above issues were addressed.

Apartment was good for two days but any longer wasn't suitable for more than two people. Disappointed with linen provided no duvet available for sofa bed so had to use just a cover. Kitchen facilities good.
