Residential on its heights, it becomes much more urban, commercial and animated when you get closer to the shore. This family neighborhood is ideal for enjoying the beach and a real neighborhood life. -- Gambetta Living in the Gambetta neighborhood means being able to enjoy the sea and the beach while being just a few blocks from downtown. More recent than the neighborhoods of the hyper center, Gambetta presents a harmonious mix of bourgeois buildings typical of 19th century Nice urbanism, Art Deco buildings and contemporary buildings. Gambetta is not a very large neighborhood, but it does have several very commercial streets: rue de France, which is known throughout the city for its stores. Served by the streetcar, this district has everything to please! -- Le Piol - Parc Impérial - Vernier The Parc Impérial district owes its name to the Imperial Hotel that was built in 1902 for the Russian community that spent its winters on the French Riviera.
