The check-in and check-out process was very unprofessional. We provided a specific arrival time when booking to Bocobay Rentals, yet when we arrived, the cleaning crew was still working, forcing us to wait outside in the sun for about 30 minutes. Check-out was set for 10 a.m., and despite multiple requests for a later check-out—especially given it was January 1st—this was denied. We checked out on time, but no one arrived to clean the villa or collect the keys. Throughout our stay, the bathrooms frequently smelled like sewage, with the odour spreading into the rooms and forcing us to keep the AC running at all times. The biggest issue, however, was the lack of support from management. On our last day, one of the air conditioners leaked and completely soaked a mattress being used by two guests. We contacted management at 5 p.m. asking for help so the guests could sleep comfortably, but they only left replacement bedsheets and pillowcases. Despite clearly explaining that the mattress and pillows themselves were wet and needed to be replaced, we received no further assistance beyond being told our feedback was “noted.” As a result, the guests had to share other beds, with three people sleeping in a room meant for two.

The beach chairs are not in a good condition because they are left outside. The chairs are rusted and not usable. Please replace the chairs and keep them inside. There is no comforter in the lower bed of the bunker bed.

We had a great stay at this condo. The room was very clean and had everything we needed, including a full kitchen, cooking essentials, and laundry. The location is excellent, close to everything and very easy to get around. Parking was simple and convenient, which made our stay even more comfortable. The area is also very quiet, perfect for relaxing after a day out. We would definitely stay here again.

I believe in honesty. When it comes to letting others know how a place of stay truly is. So I will start with the pros. The location is great. Just a 20 minute walk to the beach and bus stop to downtown. Also a 20 minute walk to the grocery store. The needs were very comfy and the AC worked very well. The cons. This is hard but you should know there were bugs, cockroaches, which freaks me right out. We did let them know and they dropped off bug spray. They provide coffee and tea. They did provide some kitchen ware, plates, bowls, cups a couple pots and pans. But that was the most of it. There were no instructions on how to use the appliances and we could not figure out the stove. There is a bbq , however no utensils for it. The place could use some TLC as well, especially the back patio area. Overall I gave it a 3 because the surrounding area is great.

We had a nice time in Gold Coast. We had a few issues when we arrived with AC and lighting which were quickly rectified by staff. All in all the overall experience was good. They did have work ongoing at main pool by restaurant, not sure how long it’ll be down, other two pools were open and nice. Would recommend for stay, large unit and clean with beach accessories to use.

When we got to the Bocobay Gold Coast and opened the door, there was a strong, overwhelming smell of poop!! There was a roach in the downstairs bathroom and a little bit of poop still in the toilet upstairs! The air conditioner did nothing for the over 90 degree heat that day. I am giving them 2 stars because….when I called Bocobay and spoke to Ivy, she took care of us right away. Communication was good throughout. We were moved to one of their other properties – Bocobay Aracari. Our suite at the Aracari (I highly recommend) was significantly better, comfortable, quiet, and we enjoyed our stay there. But never again at the Bocobay Gold Coast.

Property was super clean, beds were very comfortable. Unit is super close to great snorkeling beaches - 5 to 7 minute drives to Boca Catalina and Arashi. Communication was great. Always had quick responses. The cooler provided was a nice touch. Beach chairs were provided but these could definitely use an upgrade. They were a little rusty and dirty.

My stay with the Bocobay Gold Coast property was very good. The resort is very close to many great beaches, restaurants and things to do. The condo was in a gated, quiet upscale neighborhood that was full of convenient amenities and worked well for me and my small family. Thank you!
