A Decent Place to Stay

Was hoping that it would be a little warmer, especially during the winter. I felt a bit more exposed than I had wanted in the showers. Perhaps it would have been better if I had brought a bathrobe.

High quality hostel, but cold at night.

High quality hostel directly above the Norrköping central station. Very clean and well maintained. Good breakfast for a hostel. In winter rooms are cold at night (even with heating). Provided blankets are very thin and I was freezing at night. Make sure to bring your own or book more beds than needed to have additional blankets. Reception hours are limited and staff is strictly enforcing these. I used the intercom to call them at 8.30 in the morning and the menber of staff hung up after pointing out to the office hours. The trains and the railway crossing outside are quite noisy. Surprisingly worse in the rooms towards the street due to simpler glazing. Bring earplugs.

TyvÀrr fanns det en del brister. Kök, nedgÄnget och i behov av en rejÀl stÀdning Duschar toaletter, stÀdade men brister i form av utformning. Damernas dusch hade ett stort fönster utan gardiner mot gatan. AllmÀnna utrymmen inkl kök, kameraövervakning överallt, jag saknade information om i vilket syfte man blev övervakad och hur lÀnge filmer sparas etc, intrÄng i personlig integritet. Rum, ok, men dammigt pÄ golv och om man letade uttag för att ladda mobiler etc sÄ fick man krypa i dammet under sÀngar för att komma Ät. Resorbottnar var synligt skitiga men bekvÀma. TillgÀngligheten var vÀl god, men det saknades personal pÄ plats, kÀndes som att koden för att komma in pÄ vandrarhemmet var kÀnd dÄ det pÄ lördagen var spring i korridoren och folk som stökade pÄ toaletterna. NÄgon hade ocksÄ lÀmnat en tallrik med vidbrÀnd mat i korridoren. Upplevelsen var inte trygg och stÀdad.

Störande ljud frÄn utanför stationen.

Boendet ligger pÄ övervÄningen i tÄgstationen. Det gjorde att alla utrop i högtalarna hördes tydligt. Dessutom kollektivtrafikens muller pÄ andra sidan byggnaden. Fick ocksÄ pÄ plats reda pÄ att man sjÀlv skall, vid utcheckningen, damsuga o vÄttorka sitt rum. Med tanke pÄ dessa erfarenheter borde boendet vara billigare (jÀmfört med andra boenden dÀr dessa erfarenheter inte gÀller). Men det Àr det inte i nÄgon större grad.
