Wallaby House - Family House in Private Parkland Setting with Lake View

Feel the calm high above the trees watching the birds take flight! The three bedroom, two bathroom house provides a modern, clean and quiet living space in a garden setting. The gate from your parking opens onto a decked courtyard with the main house on your left and the third bedroom with ensuite bathroom on your right. The front door opens into the open plan kitchen-dining-lounge area. The kitchen has high end appliances, including a fridge, electric cooktop, oven, microwave and dishwasher. There is ample cupboard and countertop space and it is finished off with wood benchtops. All crockery, cutlery, toaster, kettle, pots and pans and coffee machine are provided.

WiFi is available and streaming services are offered free of charge. There are flat screen televisions in the lounge area and the bedrooms.

A fireplace in the living area provides more than enough heat for the house and wood and kindling are provided in the winter months. There is also a large reverse cycle air-conditioning unit to heat/cool the house.

The back wall of the living area is made up of a full width window and sliding door that opens up on to the large deck offering panoramic views of the lake and surrounding valley and trees. There is a large table, a gas BBQ and ceiling lights and a large ceiling fan for use on the deck.

Bedroom 1 has a large window that looks out on to the treetops. The window in bedroom 2 overlooks the inner courtyard. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans, and each has its own door to the bathroom. Bedroom 1 has a Queen bed. Bedroom 2 has a double bed.

There is a built-in washing machine and a tumble dryer available in the laundry cupboard next to the bathroom.

Bedroom 3 is across the courtyard and has its own ensuite bathroom, ceiling fan and reverse cycle air-conditioner. It has a Queen bed.

* Enough wood for the cold winter nights is provided for the fireplace and there is also a reverse-cycle air-conditioner and ceiling fan in the living room.

* We provide a delicious breakfast basket filled with local and home-made produce. From freshly baked bread, croissants and pastries to eggs from our chickens and fresh local seasonal fruit to milk and yoghurt from Maleny's award-winning dairy and cheese factory.

* Our property is semi-rural and is not on town water or sewerage. Our water comes from rainwater tanks, and we have a wastewater treatment plant. The house has its own tank, and the water is perfectly safe to drink.

* Pets are allowed and we charge a pet fee. As we are semi-rural and part of a wildlife corridor, the greater property is not fenced, and all dogs are to remain on lead at all times when on the grounds. Wallaby's back deck is enclosed as is the inner courtyard.

* There are pasture-fed free range chickens on the property.
During your stay at this vacation home, you'll be within walking distance of Manduka Cooperative Nature Refuge. Features include free breakfast and laundry facilities. Free WiFi and a kitchen are available in the vacation home.

Relaxing stay

We recently stayed in readiness for our daughters wedding and the location, amenties, rooms were perfect for our stay. So close to town but in a very quiet location is a bonus. The fire was really appreciated during our stay. Highly recommend this home
