Lovely hotel but room smelt awful

Pros: The hotel is comfortable, modern and of a good standard.
Cons: Room smell
Location: Good location for business or family stay
This is a lovely hotel and the room that I stayed in was comfortable, modern and of a good standard. The only snag that I had was that the room smelt awful in the morning when I woke. I arrived at the hotel late evening and I was shown to my room. On entering the room, the window was wide open and the room was cold. I closed it and went to bed within the hour. When I woke in the morning, the room smelt horrendous and it was clear why the window had been left fully open before my arrival. I advised the hotel of this in the morning and the lady advised that she would pass this information on. I really do hope that the hotel has done something about this as it is a shame as the hotel itself is very good.

Old but nice

Pros: Friendly. Good food
Location: Small village. Canal lock
Only drawback is shared bathrooms for some rooms. Food is good and varied. Average prices. Retserauntbbusy at weekend
