This is the second time we have stayed at Lake Haven for a retreat, and it is a great environment for getting work done while having some fun and enjoying a beautiful view. Amanda is very accommodating and worked with our special requests.

Maybe it’s just me but for twenty-five hundred dollars a night, I’d like to be able to go out on the lake with more than one person. Having two watercraft available for a house that sleeps 15 seems silly. The trek needed to get to the water was quite formidable, unfortunately, with 50 stair steps, so that was disappointing. I booked the property because of the lake and all we really got was a view of the other side of the inlet and a partial lake view off to the side (the picture in the listing is taken from the dock, not the house - deceptive). Not what I had pictured. The screened-in porch was lovely. The house was clean. The game room was nice. The beds were all comfy. I’m just disappointed that I paid so much to be on a lake only to not get the benefit of it.

The house fit our family well. The kids loved the game room. The adults and kids loved the fire pit at night. We all enjoyed watching the football games. The swimming and paddle boarding and kayaking were excellent!

Our family stayed in this beautiful home from Aug23-25.It is indeed a beautiful home sitting on the lake with a beautiful view The host was very helpful but I was fortunate to be able to talk with the owner .I had questions and he was helpful and provide all our needs .I would recommend this place 10 plus for an enjoyable stay.Thank you for fulfilling our needs .

Clean home with Great location

We had an amazing time here. The hosts communication was incredible, and the check in/out process was easy with clear instructions. The home is amazing inside and out and was able to comfortably sleep all of us. The best part was the dock, we spent much time at the dock just catching up, fishing and overall having fun. I would gladly come back and book here again!!

Wonderful time at Lake Haven

We just spent 5 nights at Lake Haven on Lake Tuscaloosa with 10 people ages 3-56 and had a wonderful experience. The property is located on a high bluff with a well-maintained wooden staircase to the boat house and pier. The house appeared to have been relatively recently renovated with modern appliances and nice bathrooms. The kitchen is relatively small, but we were able to cook all meal for 10 people nightly. One bedroom is located downstairs and is a Murphy bed which uses the full bath just off from the kitchen. Upstairs, there is a large bunk room that could sleep 10 kids easily. The other two upstairs bedrooms were well stocked with extra pillows and blankets if needed. The master suite had a unique and large tub along with a double shower. Also, just off the master is an open roof-top tanning / sitting area that is great to escape from the craziness inside. Below that is located a wonderful, screened porch that connects to the deck. The deck is equipped with a large propane grill, a table with an umbrella and seating for 6, along with a picnic table for additional seating. The house is located about 20 min north of Tuscaloosa on the northwest end of the lake where there isn't much boat traffic. The street is a one-mile loop and perfect for family walks or bike rides. All in all I would highly recommend this home and would not hesitate to book again. Amanda, the homeowner, was extremely responsive to any and all questions I had during our stay.

Family Time

This property was perfect for a family getaway. There was space enough for everyone. The bunk room was especially nice for the kids. We were able to enjoy the lake on the provided paddle board and the kayaks. We also took advantage of a great selection of games and foosball indoors. I would recommend this property for a large group.
