Relaxing week's stay at Tanoa International Dateline Hotel; loved the mid-winter warmth - along with the friendly Tongan service throughout the hotel. Large rooms, large swimming pool, good wifi, plus a decent breakfast buffet. Not flashy, just comfortable & enjoyable. Hallways are a little noisy/echo at night, FYA

Excellent stay

We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff were absolutely wonderful. They were very attentive and very helpful. We were treated like family. Breakfast was great and the food at the restaurant was delicious. We were walking distance to the market and to the dive shop. Thank you everyone at Tanoa!

It was close to town. Had a swimming pool. Needed more variety at breakfast. Airport shuttle expensive. Reception staff knew very little about things to do and see, and often gave wrong info.

Disappointed with hotel. For the high room cost I expected good to very good quality experience. Bathroom not properly cleaned in two days (dead cochroaches under vanity unit), cabinet door for refrigerator access wouldn't close properly. Rooms and hallways are tiled making any noise louder. Appears property maintainanxe not high priority.

a lovely stay

the folks here are so nice and welcoming and helpful. the breakfast was good, the rooms are air con and comfy. its walking distance to the wharf and to many restaurants and sights. recommend!

This property is the best in tonga however to come into a room crawling with small cockroaches was a little dissapointing, the bedding was clean and changed whenever requested, yhe pool was excellent, the breakfast offered variety of choice , with excellent staff
Turtle sanctuary, apperently there were no turtles seen but plenty of plastic bags and bottles, the very thing that kills turtles
The blow holes, well worth visiting, quite clean and tidy area,
View of sunrise from our room window, there was no balcony in these rooms but they did have a great view, no comfortable chair to sit in so i would suggest opt for a room with a balcony

The Tanoa was an amazing hotel to stay at. The staff there were the best we experienced in our 5 different stays on this trip - so helpful, happy and accommodating. The breakfast included was second to none. The only downside was the pool closing early and the parking in the back of the hotel - the road in needs repair.

Well appointed hotel in the heart of Nuku’alofa. Clean, tidy and open hotel. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Lovely pool. Room was nice, bed was comfy and a pretty good shower. Great breakfast. They had their oion. wn vegetable garden around the complex from which they sourced the ingredients for meals Close to the main town with lots of things within walking distance. Con's Towels were taken each day to be laundered and returned the same day, which meant that we had no towels in our room for a good part of the day. More towels need to be available, so that this doersn't happen. cleaned. Wifi is poor, however there is work going on in Tonga to upgrade to a 5G network. Fairly limited food menu. Need more choices, as you quickly work through eveything on the menu. Need better service channel around tourism information. It was hard to find any useful information. The receprion tried hard to help. This is a missed opportunity for the hotel.

Well appointed hotel in the heart of Nuku’alofa. Lovely pool, amazing staff. Fairly limited menu. Only issue I had was the walls are paper thin so my neighbour with a love of singing along to the tv and loud phone calls all hours of the night meant didn’t sleep so well.
