I had a free minibar which I had to complain to get then once they bring it up only contained soft drinks... Pool was busy with no rules during COVID period I asked for an extra glass in the room which never arrived, I had to go down and get it myself Overall disappointing

Overall a very good stay and good value for money. Location is within walking distance of the main train station and right across from the Southern end of the old town. There is also a subway station next to the hotel. I did get a room upgrade as a Expedia Gold, but only after asking for one. The room looked pretty standard nevertheless, but it was clean and it had a nice view onto the old town. Staff was very courteous and helpful and quick. The only negative was that the internet was very slow on the last day. I only got 1MB download speed. Would consider staying there again.

Quite disappointing

Despite the majority of the staff being very helpful, service was not consistent. I found peanuts in my room sofa. They announced free minibar although it was in fact free of anything, empty. These times are challenging although I was expecting a little more.

The location is great.

Great location nice ambience. The breakfast was economic style. Engough but cheap products. Hallways are a bit noisy but that's not the hotels fould when costumer have no manners and think the own the whole hotel floor.

We booked this hotel as we wanted to attend the IWA show. However due to the coronavirus The show was cancelled. As a result I had to cancel our flight and hotel booking. I understood that, whilst paying an increased rate for the hotel due to the show, that it was an on refundable price I had expected the hotel to try to work with us due to the reasons that the show was cancelled. I didn’t expect a full refund but I thought accommodating a reduced fee for the follow-on booking and the show later would be fair. The hotel had other ideas!

Decent 4-star in front of the Train Station

Wifi in my room was very weak, and the first 2-3 staff I asked for help were very quick to say "Nothing we can do" but finally one was very kind and helpful and offered to change for another room (I think her name was Sina? Props to her) so finally all was sorted but the attitude ot the other staff was very disappointing. The lamps in the room have seen better days. Other than that nothing to complain about. Breakfast is great, choice and quality.

This hotel is ideally located, very close to Hauptbanhof central station and short walking distance from everything in the old town (Aldstadt). A bit old rooms but very clean, carpet should be renewed. Otherwise, it is very clean, the staff is very helpful and nice. There are much newer hotels at similar rates in the area though.
