ABOUT CORNET BAY COTTAGE

You are invited to Cornet Bay Cottage and the opportunity to experience the beauty of Cornet Bay, Deception Pass and the scenic northwest. Located less than a mile from the entrance to Deception Pass State Park (the most visited park in Washington), you can view and photograph the glorious sunsets from the Deception Pass Bridge.

There are hiking trails, walking and biking, saltwater shorelines, a swimming beach and fishing spots. You can beach comb, go crabbing, clam digging, kayaking and whale watching. There is even a tour of Deception Pass on a jet boat.

At the house, you can relax on the spacious deck with a spectacular view of Cornet Bay County Park, right across the street.

Within the house, you will find there's much fun to be had for both the adults and young ones.You won't have any trouble getting comfy in the living room. Lounge on soft chairs or the couch while you read a good book, watch TV, or take a quick nap. Check out the game room where you can play ping pong, darts and lots of fun board games.

The living room features a 65" smart television with sound bar and BluRay DVD. In one bedroom, you'll find a 45" smart television. You can use either to watch all your favorite shows, movies and play any video games you bring along.

The kitchen is absolutely stunning! It has molded finished wood and tons of appliances for all your cooking needs, such as an oven, microwave, and a dual-function Keurig coffee maker. With electric burners on its counter bar, you can chat with the chef in your group while watching what's being cooked up for family and friends.

The dining room table can seat up to six and comes with a centerpiece which you can find in the laundry room. The electric wall-mounted fireplace offers a gentle glow, perfect for enjoying a relaxing evening meal.

The master bedroom will have you feeling like a captain out at sea in comfy quarters. The room comes with a queen-sized bed, a large closet, a full bathroom, a computer desk, and doors that lead to the amazing deck.

Bedroom two has a queen bed and smart TV. If you have any children, they'll be able to experience most kids' dreams of sleeping in a large bunk bed. There are fun books to read located in one of the closets and a window view of the bay.

There's a second full bathroom plus a convenient laundry room with washer and dryer.

From Cornet Bay Cottage, you can choose from dozens of activities. In addition to the spectacular views, Deception Pass State Park offers hiking trails and a boat launch. There are whale watching and Deception Pass boat tours. The adventurous can rent a kayak. Shoppers can visit iconic La Conner for its gallery shops, museums and great restaurants. Or take a ferry ride to the Olympic Peninsula.

The atmosphere on Whidbey is what might be called iconic or laid-back. Accommodations range from the prestigious to the rustic. Located in the "rain-shadow" of the Olympic Mountains just to the West, Whidbey receives just half the annual rainfall as Seattle.

The surrounding towns of Oak Harbor, Coupeville, Anacortes and LaConner afford you many opportunities for attractions and dining. Throughout the year, enjoy a variety of festivals - art, music, tulip and a pig roast. The North end of the island is home to the US Naval Air Station at Oak Harbor, the largest town on the island. Occasionally, you may hear the distant noise of jets flying overhead.

There are plenty of shops and services. Driving through the center of the island reveals bucolic pastureland, forests and the very present rocky shores on both sides of the road. Near the south end of the island, the pace slows, windy roads lead to galleries, shops and antique stores.

Everywhere on Whidbey are scenes out of a watercolor painting. Vibrant colors, high vantage points, beaches, friendly people and a slower, more relaxed pace. Local businesses promote "do nothing here" are much as they do all the activities.

Phones open 9am to 7pm every day. If dogs are allowed, they must be approved in advance, with a quantity, weight limit, and a per-dog, per-day fee. due to government or owner requirements, occupancy may never exceed the number of registered guests, dogs and vehicles. Drop-in guests are not allowed. For security, there may be outwardly facing security cameras, capable of constant recording, and interior decibel meters to report noise. To allow enough time for full cleaning, check-In time is 5pm and Check-Out is 11am. Bookings over 30 days or longer are with Prospera VIP.

This cottage offers its guests barbecue grills, an arcade/game room, and laundry facilities. The front desk is open around the clock.
