The Pink cottage on West Beach, water front , short walk to beach

The Pink Cottage started as a fishing shack in 1955, the year after hurricane Hazel. In 1968 the 2 bedrooms and a bathroom were added. Also the back porch was enclosed and the kitchen was added including a large deck facing the water. In 2021 the shack was completely renovated and became The Pink Cottage. An enclosed outside shower with hot and cold water was added. The kitchen is fully furnished including a dishwasher. The pink cottage overlooks Montgomery Slough with its tidal creek where at low tide the many species of birds feed, at high tide watch for the dolphins. You may access the Slough at 17th Place West where you can catch your own shrimp, crab, or just explore the marsh with all its abundant life. You can also launch your kayak from this access. You don't have to worry about beach parking - it is just a short walk to the beach.
During your stay at this cottage, you're just a quick walk from Caswell Beach. You'll find features like laundry facilities. Enjoy your stay with amenities like free WiFi and a kitchen in the cottage.

This little place exceeded our expectations! We had a girls weekend and found the place super clean and attention to detail was executed without fail. Cannot say enough good things about our stay at the Pink Cottage. One of our favorite places we have ever stayed. The views are simply amazing and the house was so clean. Everything we needed was stocked and you can tell so much thought was put into this home. Beach access is walking distance right across the street and we found so many great shells. John and Sarah are so sweet and really made sure our stay was great! This is a little slice of heaven and we cannot wait to come back!

Pink House is great place to stay.

The Pink House has everything you need for a vacation stay and was very clean. The Hosts were helpful and friendly. View was awesome from back deck and, it was just a short walk to the beach. Definitely hope to have a chance to return.

House is very clean, nicely decorated and well suited to a couple or small family. We loved the location right on the marsh and enjoyed watching the birds. The beach access is also very convenient. The owners were very nice and helpful before/during our stay. We only regret we didn't book a full week!

The Pink Cottage is perfect. A lovely little home on the tidal creek. It has beautiful marsh views (we saw an amazing sunset) and is a quick walk to the beach. The kitchen is well-equipped, and the mini-split system kept the house nice & cool. The hosts have thought of everything to make this a wonderful stay.

Our stay at The Pink Cottage was amazing! It was just what my family needed. The pictures of the cottage don't do it justice. It is so beautifully decorated and clean. The view is so serene and it is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood with a very short walk to the beach. It's the perfect place to be for exploring Oak Island. Charming cottage with everything you could possibly need - hosts were responsive to communication and made the Pink Cottage an easy choice for our anniversary weekend. Clean and comfortable, close to everything, could have harvested oysters from the marsh if we wanted to- the hardest part was leaving!

It is very cute! Good size for two Adults. Not a lot of closet space but a lot of dresser storage. Small dishwasher but was fine for us! Great views of marsh and sunsets! Love the back porch with rockers! It was spotless when we arrived! I really appreciated that! John and Sarah were very nice.

Anniversary

If you want a great place to stay for rest and relaxation this is where you need to be. The sunset is beautiful and watching the dolphins play is beautiful to watch as well! The cottage has everything you need to feel at home. We are looking forward to coming back! Thank you John and Sarah!
