This could be an amazing property. The views are great and the location is great if you want to be on the water near the marina. The rooms are outdated, however, and the staff were not very helpful. They charge $40 a day for parking even for their hotel guests and the abundant parking that is free across the street they encourage you not to use because your car might be broken into. However, many many people were parked there overnight that we saw. To charge that much for parking on top of the hotel fee seems quite unnecessary. It was also very loud with a DJ until 10 PM.

One of our favorite spots; could use a little TLC

We really like staying at this hotel for fun. It's in a great location, right on the water, with some fun things do do on site. Everything was fine this time and the kids especially enjoy the indoor pool, which was very clean. Some of the other parts of the hotel could use some sprucing up, for example our TV cabinet had some veneer that has broken off, showing the particle board underneath. Not a huge deal. The mattresses were comfortable enough but due for an upgrade.

Predictably mediocre stay

The front desk person was clearly just trying to get our interaction over with as quickly as possible. i remember while they were showing me how to find my room, I dropped something on the ground. They continued their explanation while I was crouched down on the floor and by the time I got up they were looking at something else and I had to ask them to repeat themselves because I obviously wasn't looking at the map while they were talking. I was also looking forward to the cookie you get at Doubletrees but during the interaction I just knew she wasn't going to offer it, and she didn't. As for the property, I have never in my life been placed in a room so far from the front desk. It killed my motivation to leave, order food, or do anything else, considering how far I was placed. The condition of the hotel wasn't great, but the reviews online sort of prepared me for that.
