The pictures of the hotel look so good that you're likely to be a bit disappointed when you first arrive. San Agustin is centrally located like many other hotels which means you have choice. Our room had 2 double beds and was huge in the parador style. However, No natural light. No AC and the safe was out of order. There was no attempt to fix or replace. Did not use the TV or WIFI so can't comment.Hot water for showers was inconsistant There is a good cafe attached to the property which we tried for breakfast one day. There is a nightclub close by that played loud music until 4am Our stay was 7 nights but I wish we had moved to another place.

The whole hotel is clean and well run. The staff are incredibly nice and attentive. On top of it all ,it is 1 block from the main square. Location,location ,location.

The hotels in Oaxaca are all similar to Hotel Parador San Agustin -- older buildings with a rustic feel. It was a good price, but I wish they did not advertise having certain amenities when they do not. No air conditioning, only a ceiling fan and a floor fan. A mini fridge and air conditioning + a functioning TV would have been nice for the late evenings. We were able to keep the room relatively cool. Did not have many encounters with the staff, but they seemed nice. The location is the best part about this place. Very walkable, but I felt like most of the food was 10 min walk.

I am a single female traveler. This is a clean and comfortable place to stay, only a block over from the Zocalo. There is a little cafe attached that serves sandwiches, for when you don't want to go out to eat. Staff is very attentive, and sees to your every need. Mexican as well as foreign visitors stay here. It is an excellent value.

It is one block from the Zoloft. Location is great. Breakfast is a great option. Owners and staff try very hard to please. Very clean.
