We had a great stay here. It was exactly what we needed for our family of 6 to stay for a few nights before heading home. The room was clean and had everything we needed. There was a restaurant located inside and it was very convenient.

Can't beat it for the price.

I had a lovely time. The location is perfect if you want to explore thr centro area. It's basic, but clean. The price is amazing as is the staff. Leave the water running in the shower for a bit to get hot water. It's not a luxury hotel.

Good location near Oaxaca Zocalo and most important city activities. Hoyel staff is servicial and rooms are big but noisy if you are on the main patio where the restaurant is located or near the street. Rooms need details to be called excellent, like doors that can close and isolate noise, add chairs and a table or desk, better water pressure on lavatory, etc. but it is what it is. Good location and fair price. Construction noise from the University building next to our room till 1 AM in the morning and restarting at 7 AM.

The house is nice and it’s centric. Rooms are too small and quite old for the price. It was a nice stay overall

Simple, small but clean. Wouldn't stay more than 1-2 nights but price is good. Bathroom was really small (sink is practically on top of the toilet). But the bedding seemed new. Only a few rooms with a back varanda area.

The hotel has many positives, starting with the staff, who were friendly and helpful. Its location is excellent—central and within walking distance to everything, and we felt safe even at night. The building is older, not luxurious, but clean and well-maintained. We stayed in a family room, which was convenient for our group of six, with three individual beds upstairs and a full-size bed downstairs. While the layout worked well for us, the beds could have been more comfortable. Also, the hotel provides only basic toiletries, so bring your own shampoo, conditioner, and soap. Another minor issue was the limited supply of toilet paper—we often had to request more since only one roll was provided at a time for six people. We did encounter a stressful situation due to a last-minute flight change. Expedia struggled to communicate the one-day delay to the hotel, partly due to a language barrier, and their request to update our reservation never reached the hotel. I had to call the hotel multiple times, but thankfully, a helpful staff member assured us our room would be held, which relieved my stress. Oddly, a day after we checked in, Expedia informed us the hotel never responded to their request. It was frustrating to handle this myself, but I appreciated the hotel’s staff for resolving the issue. Overall, it’s a clean hotel in a great location with excellent staff. Despite some inconveniences, it’s a good option for families or travelers seeking value and accessibility.

Shady hotel

I ended flying late into the city and by the time I was trying to check in, one of the rooms in my reservation was "cancelled". According to them their system cancelled the second room even though I had paid already. They wanted me to pay again for the second room. I just ended up leaving upset because they keep my money for the second room. I tried calling the hotel to notify them I was arriving late, but no one answered. I called 6 times.
