Oyhut Bay Seaside Village is built on the edge of the Oyhut Wildlife Recreation Area. Often called the “natural side” of Ocean Shores, this area offers miles of sea level hiking. Bring your camera for some wonderful nature photography. The nearby north jetty has spectacular waves to enjoy from afar - especially at high tide or on a stormy day.

Just across Marine View Drive, Oyhut Bay provides access to 26 miles of canals for kayaking or stand-up paddle boarding. Even on the rainiest of beach days, there is something for everyone at Oyhut Bay. Enjoy a relaxing fire in the fireplace and a good book. There are no bad days at the beach.

The hot tub was great and very enjoyable, but when we arrived it had debris in it and we had to have maintenance come and clean it. Also the cover lid which is very heavy was not attached to the Lever bars for removal and it was hard for us to take the cover off. The fire pit on the north side of the house is a great idea but when we tried to use it the gas lasted about three minutes then it quit, apparently out of gas. We knew the unit was advertised as a Dog Friendly vacation unit but we weren’t prepared for how strong the smell was. It was constant but like I said above the advertisement for this unit is very clear. The unit was nice and pleasing and functioned well. However we were a party of four all being in our 70s. All of the area rugs were thick and had turned up edges and we were constantly tripping over them. And when using the showers there aren’t any non-slip floor mats and we found the flooring to be very slippery. The back porch is a nice area to sit and it has atmosphere lighting or light strings in the porch ceiling which is a nice touch, however they don’t work.

Fancy Finish Cottage

Beautiful little cottage with everything you need to relax and enjoy your time away! Spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, lovely decor, outdoor space included a grill, propane fire pit and hot tub. Oyhut Bay Village is wonderful, with everything in walking distance. Our 3 yr old grandson and 15 yr old granddaughter were equally happy here and none of us wanted to leave! Can’t wait to come back!
