12-Lighthouse Suite at The Castle Inn

Summary:

Our largest suite at 1000sf on the 3rd and 4th floor; it is inspired by the lighthouses of the Outer Banks and is capped off with a private lounge area with wet bar and 360-degree views of the island. It has private access to The Castle's roof-top deck and offers exclusive use of the deck between 9pm and 9am. The Lighthouse Suite offers several sitting areas, 1 1/2 bathrooms, and 3 TVs. The suite accommodates up to 4 guests with queen bed and queen sleeper sofa.



The Space:

The property offers several common areas, including: reception area, parlor with a sitting area, fireplace and pool table, large front porch (new in 2026), 2 screened in porches, library (2nd floor), roof top deck, premium vending machine for 24 hour snacks, water refill station (hot and cold), kitchen and dining room. The property also offers access to the inground pool, sauna, Silver Lake dock with deck and floating dock.



Guest Access:

Upon arrival, you'll receive a unique door code and detailed instructions for seamless access to the suite. Enjoy exclusive access to your private bedroom, complete with a queen bed and sofa bed, as well as a full and a half bathroom. You'll also have access to the shared amenities, including the communal pool, outdoor seating, and beach access, all while enjoying the stunning views of the sea.



The Neighborhood:

Tucked away in the lovely Village of Ocracoke, our Bed & Breakfast gives you easy access to all the island's best spots. Just step outside, and you're a quick walk from some great shops, perfect for finding special souvenirs and local goodies. You can treat yourself to lots of different places to eat, all nearby, from relaxed cafes to fancy restaurants. Explore the historic heart of Ocracoke, where you can enjoy the island's history and lively culture, all while being close to your cozy room. The beach and ocean are also close, with amazing views and chances to relax and have fun in the water.



Getting Around:

The Castle Inn is perfectly located right in the middle of Ocracoke Village, so you can easily get around by walking or biking. Getting around Ocracoke Island on public transport is a bit tricky. Luckily, the Ocracoke Express passenger ferry runs to and from Hatteras, which can connect you to the mainland. You can park for free at the Inn. The Ocracoke Island Airport (OCR) is a quick drive away, but it's mostly for smaller planes. Travel times to bigger transport places depend on how you're getting there and if you need to change. Just ask us for any specific travel details you need!



Other Things to Note:

Parking for 1 regular sized vehicle (per room) is in the shared parking lot adjacent connected to the property (Lot with pea gravel) Trailers, Boats and oversized vehicles should be parked in the NPS lot.
