It was great but

We’ve stayed at this hotel before and had a great experience which is the reason for our return visit. It was a surprise to us that they would be hosting a couple of conventions during the time of our stay. Needless to say it was jam packed which made it a bit of an unpleasant stay this time. No fault to the hotel themselves although that will be a note to self in the future: call ahead to check if there are any scheduled conventions! Elevators were soooooooo slow it was excruciating but again a packed house. I will mention there was a small.. well rather big mishap our first night here. Again a huge group of teenage male athletes had just checked in earlier and around 11pm the fire alarms on every floor and in every room went off! Ppl were sleeping, bathing, you name it! We had to either stop what we were doing or frightened out of our sleep and was instructed to walk to the near exit stairwell. We were on the 8th floor and im thankful it wasn’t the 16th floor! It led us directly outside in 40 degree weather with the wind whipping!! We looked at each other in our pjs and walked around to the front of the building and went into the lobby only to find out there was no fire and one of those boys pulled the alarm but of course didn’t want to take the blame for it. Every customer was upset. Other than that our room was nice as usual, clean, serviced every day and breakfast was amazing as usual. Hotel staff are all really professional and helpful.

A little bit of ✨everything✨

My fridge in my room didn’t work and I was just told to pull it out and turn it on and it still didn’t work and never got fixed. Both times I’ve stayed the staff has been 50/50 with their attitudes and a few of the front desk girls are super rude and act like they don’t even want to be there, much less dealing with customers. The indoor pool is FREEZING, as well as the room it’s in. Our kid’s lips were purple and they ended up not even wanting to swim anymore. The breakfast is amazing and the cooks have amazing attitudes in the mornings. The rooms/hallways are always clean and presentable. The bar is beautiful. There’s a lot of options for DoorDash if you don’t want to leave your room, and way more options if you do, as well as food at the hotel itself.

This should have been easily perfect stay. Front Desk was great. Housekeepers made sure that I had everything I need. My only complaint is there is no hot water from what was advised to me from 9th floor up.
