I like supporting "local" when I can. This place is way different than corporate chain-style lodging venues. It has character. Friendly hosts and a nice facility with a "vintage" feel - hey, after all it's part of their name! Although my room was on the small side, it had everything I needed and nothing I didn't - it was clean, nicely decorated in a rustic style that was just plain comfy. In an area like Okoboji, who spends a lot of time in a motel room anyway? It's centrally located to just about any place you'd want to visit in the lakes area. Bike rentals on-site and a bar and grill next door with outdoor seating and live music Friday and Saturday nights during the summer. No complaints here! First time there but I'd absolutely stay again.

Everything was well spaced out. Lots of games, grills, firepits and quiet. The only thing we didn't like is when the air-conditioning kicked in there was an odor.

It was quiet and staff was very friendly. Check-in was easy and quick. I was thrilled to be able to plug in my EV car to charge overnight, even if was only into a 110 outlet - that’s more than 99% of the rest of the Lakes area offers! Bed was comfortable.

Nicely remodeled; nice pool, great outdoor area with fire pits and games. Great value for the cost. There wasn’t an accessible ice machine which would have been nice. Overall, would return!!

It’s a nicely remodeled motel. Rooms are tiny and bathroom extremely tiny. Great location. Staff was mostly friendly. I didn’t eat breakfast as it was only processed foods but they have a typical continental b’fast. Cool options like a small pool and firepit. Overall good stay.
