I actually did not eat the breakfast. I saw some of the fixings… It looked OK I ate at a local diner. The property is beautiful. We love waking up to a lake view. I thought it was a little overpriced for the room that we had which was a corner room very small. The rest of the rooms looked very large. We totally enjoyed our stay. It was beautiful. I would recommend the great Pines as it was recommended to us very cozy.

Absence of anywhere convenient to actually have breakfast was odd & the management deciding that guests should not be allowed to chose their coffee totally unacceptable. Whatever happened to freedom of choice?

Booked a Lakeside one bedroom cabin suite. It was dark dingy the windows were dirty. The worst part was the dividing doors between the two rooms. We might as well have a curtain there. It was not even close to soundproof. We felt like we were sharing a room with strangers, could hear every word of their conversations and all other “activities “.

This is the perfect Adirondack lodging. We stayed in the motel in a double room. It had a spectacular view of the lake. The resort was very tranquil. Self check-in went smoothly. The grounds are very well-maintained. We enjoyed walking along the dock for a close view of the lake front. The property has Adirondack seating with spectacular views, fire pits, and lodge amenities like board games available. The continental breakfast was just what we needed as was the late evening dinner at Lean To restaurant. We will definitely be back!

The room was clean, but dated and very basic. Very little lighting in the room. The heating/AC unit was so loud that we had difficulty sleeping. The setting is beautiful, and the staff was helpful. This venue is more like a camp than a resort.

We did not know in advance that check in instructions would be sent via email; by the time we got to this hotel, we did not have 5G service to check our email. There was no one at the desk, just a sign instructing us to check email, plus a phone number to call. Once we got in touch with staff, they were very friendly and explained how to check in and where our room was. The room view from the second story lodge room was glorious, especially at dawn. The bed was comfortable. It was very clean; the establishment is older, so the bathroom tiles were not in good shape. We recommend this place.

While we were upgraded to a cabin, there were cobwebs behind the curtains, the rest of the cabin was very nice, spacious. There were no food options, except for a self-serve continental breakfast available for only 2 hours 8-10am. The lean- too, i guess their restaurant was closed due to equipment malfunction.

We only stayed here to rest, relax, and sleep-in. But, the heater in our room woke us up every 15 minutes because it sounded like freight train was coming through the wall (it was 37°, so turning it off wasn't an option). In addition, construction on the site started at 7:45am and went on all day. It was a little tough getting our loggage to our room as it was all gravel and wood chip surfaces, so you couldn't roll a suitcase. Finally, the miniscule bathrooms had no place to put anything and the kiddie-size toilet was a nightmare to get on and off of. It was an ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS location, the breakfast room availability was nice, and the fireplace and view were great. So, if you don't stay in one of the small cabin-like rooms, and the construction is finished...it would be a really nice place to stay! This just wasn't our experience.

Room was nice and bed was comfortable. Be prepared to go online to check in. No staff on Mondays and Tuesdays. Restaurant is closed both days. No coffee in lodge. 2 coffee pods (2 cups of coffee) in room for 2 night stay. Can't use canoes or paddle boards those days since no one is there to give you a life vest or paddles. Beautiful lake view off docks and at the lodge. The grounds were nice.

My wife and I stayed at Great Pines for only one night to enjoy the Adirondacks for a day in the fall. Our room faced the lake and it had a beautiful view. I loved the fact that the rustic lobby was opened all the time and we were able to enjoy that beautiful room in the evening with a glass of wine and during the morning as we enjoyed our coffee time. The continental breakfast didn't offer too much but it was fine. I love the Adirondack feel to this place and we will definitely stay at Great Pines again.

The Room has a beautiful view of the lake and the staff was very helpful in honoring our request for room 26. We had stayed in this room in the past and enjoyed it very much. However there were a couple issues that we experienced last year and they still there now. One being the toilet it was very loose and needs a new wax seal or just tightened up. Probably replacing would be the way to go.There is a screen missing from one of the window for the past two years.It seems that general maintenance. is lacking which is to bad because it is a beautiful piece of property.

I wanted to love Great Pines, but instead, they almost ruined our tenth anniversary. I made reservations 3 months in advance, exchanged texts and spoke to them on the phone 3 times, making special arrangements, but when we arrived Thursday late afternoon for our two-day romantic getaway after driving hours to get there, we were told they had cancelled our reservation 6 weeks prior and had emailed us to let us know. They did not. The room was paid for at booking. They said they had refunded the money when they cancelled. They had not, but it was quietly credited to my card within an hour of our conversation. They could have easily picked up a phone and made a call, but they did not. Instead, they blamed Expedia. Then, we were told a bride had wanted the entire resort for her wedding, so our reservation was cancelled. After my husband spoke to the manager and I sat in the car crying, we were offered an out-of-the-way room for the night, but told we would have to leave first thing in the morning. No, thank you. I was furious. After all my planning and multiple calls to make sure everything was perfect, someone with more money came along and ruined my plans. If they had at least called, I would have been upset, but I would have had time to make other plans. Great Pines showed very poor management and didn't even have the professional grace to handle things kindly.

It had a great lake view - if you walked over to see it. No staff on hand to ask questions. No bar or restaurant while we were there. Its more of a self serve kinda place. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable.

Beautiful property on 4th Lake with water views from our room. Rustic Adirondack theme to furnishings and the entire property really makes you relax and feel like you are one with nature.
