TWO SEPARATE LIVING ROOMS - ONE FOR YOU AND ONE FOR THE KIDS OR ANOTHER COUPLE! MAIN FLOOR: master with king bed, deck access and ensuite, USB chargers & outlets on bedside tables; living room with floor to ceiling windows showcasing sweeping long-range mountain views, 55" flat screen TV, Blu Ray/DVD Player, fireplace, kitchen and dining area, and 1/2 bath. Deck with grill, dining table, fire pit, rockers and adirondack chairs stretches across back of home to soak in those amazing mountain views. LOWER LEVEL: bedroom with queen bed, ensuite, and USB chargers & outlets on bedside tables; living room, 50" flat screen TV, Blu Ray/DVD Player, and sleeper sofa. Enjoy the same mountain views through two sliding glass doors in the living room and one sliding glass door in the bedroom. Both the living room and bedroom have access to patio area with seating to enjoy mountain views. ALL PAVED ROADS TO OUR HOME.
Located approximately 15 minutes off of I-40, we are 33 miles from Asheville, 20 miles from Lake Lure, and 18 miles from Black Mountain. Conveniently located to the Blue Ridge Parkway, Chimney Rock, Lake James, Linville Caverns, The Biltmore House, and Montreat.

We had a wonderful stay at this really roomy cabin. The views are amazing - see the top section of Lake Lure, all the mountain ridges, and can even see to South Carolina on a clear day. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything needed to cook meals including a gas stove and electric skillet. Two floors, each with a living room and bedroom/bathroom plus the loft. We definitely would recommend to anyone else considering it. The road leading up to the property has amazing views too, but gets extremely steep with switchbacks. Make sure you have good brakes! Being a gated community means there is very little traffic on the road and it was extremely quiet there. If you are looking for a peaceful location to relax, this is it.The only two things I would say that could have improved our stay was there is no blinds for the windows (which I understand, because wow, what a view - why block that). In the daytime, the sun took over the kitchen and main floor living room. We were there in winter, so not sure how the sun would differ in how it comes in during other seasons. The other issue for me was the furniture in the main living room didn't have the back support I needed, but the love seat in the loft did, so that was the ideal place for me to sit (plus it still had the amazing view without the direct sunlight).The host was very kind - even texted us the day of our arrival to make sure we had what we needed. Our thanks to them for their great home offering.

Beautiful, well-appointed and clean cabin. The view from the living room window was fantastic. We saw black bear and turkey in our yard. Quiet and minimal light pollution so star gazing was phenomenal. A wonderful cabin to return to each evening after a day of touring.

My husband and I have stayed at many properties through VRBO. Most of them have been very nice. This place far surpasses all of them! The host, Michelle, went above and beyond! She was extremely easy to communicate with, the check-in process was so easy. We had one little glitch but that was not her problem at all. I called her and she and her husband immediately helped us to remedy the situation. The place is extraordinary and we’ve never stayed anywhere that had instructions on how to do everything from the gas logs to the grill to the fire pit!! Each and every switch was clearly marked and I can’t think of one single thing that they forgot to do to make our stay very special. Everything about this home is 5 stars plus, but the VIEW is as good as any view we’ve seen even from the Biltmore Estate!

Lovely Property

We loved staying at Mountain Lure. The house has incredible views with large windows and a sizable back deck. The house was clean and has everything you’d need. The host is very thoughtful and communicates well. There is a lot of wildlife around the property. We even got to see a black bear while driving down the road for dinner one evening.

This was my second stay st Gateway Mountain. It is such a peaceful and relaxing place. Michelle and David are absolute gems and go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect for their guests. I am planning on returning next month for a 3rd visit!

Relaxing, Rejuvenating and Beautiful

Mountain Lure is just as described and more. The setting is beautiful. Nature surrounds you. The view is gorgeous. It was wonderful just watching the mountains, sky and clouds. Even watching the rain as it came and went. The night sky is unbelievable. The house is clean and welcoming. The kitchen is well setup for any number of culinary delights. Everything throughout the house is labeled to assist in finding items as well as for the light switches. The hosts are very accommodating and available to help however they can to make your stay all that they can. It was a wonderful stay. Once of the best vacation homes that we have rented and we have rented a number of them over the years.

Amazing views!

We loved staying here! So quiet, comfortable and relaxing. The views were amazing from every room in the home. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked. Close to Chimney Rock, Lake Lure, and Black Mountain which were places we wanted to explore. Hillman's Brewery in Old Fort was another which was very good and relatively close. Also loved visiting the waterfall in the Gateway Community. Michelle was a great host and stayed in touch throughout our visit to make sure we had everything we needed. Hope to get back for another visit!

Your Own Biltmore

Staying in this amazing property is like experiencing your own private Biltmore with the breath taking views and quiet and peaceful location. You can see for miles of unblocked views all the way to Lake Lure! The house has everything you could ever need and is very comfortable.

What a great hidden gem

We typically stay at a cabin in pigeon forge twice a year but they are generally “neighborhoods” and stacked next to each other. This year we wanted something a little more secluded so we tried this area, and what a great decision it was. There’s a cabin across the street but when you’re in the cabin, the only view you have is of the mountainside, which is just amazing. You are well off the beaten path for sure. The only downside to this location (if you want to classify it as that) is that you don’t want to leave. We’re all about going out a few times a day and being served somewhere while trying local diners,etc.. this unit makes me want to pack a cooler and bring enough food for a few days to actually just stay in and enjoy nature, cook on the grill,etc… I’ve already shared the link several times on my Facebook and friends are planning on going as well. All for all, this unit is an 11 out of 10… will definitely be back

Wonderful Mountain Oasis

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mountain Lure in May, 2024. The owners were constantly in touch before and during our stay ensuring that we were completely satisfied with our time at their rental home. The house was immaculate, well provisioned, and comfortable. The views from the bedrooms and the backyard balcony were incredible. Breathtaking Views!

We were awestruck the moment we walked through the front door at the layered mountain view. The winding drive up the mountain was worth it! You will not be disappointed. Plus the owners have provided a well-stocked kitchen as well as bathroom essentials. They provided driving directions to Lake George and the Waterfall in the Gateway community and also nearby towns, which were very helpful. I wish we could have stayed longer. It was hard to leave.

Wonderful time in the mountains!

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. My brother-in-law has mobility issues so the master bath walk-in was a life saver for him. Everything- furniture, appliances, kitchen supplies, bathrooms, etc- were well maintained and comfortable. I highly recommend these accommodations!!

Our mountain getaway

We chose this house largely because of the view out the living room windows and from the deck but the entire home was a joy! The beds were very comfortable-we slept very well! The kitchen was very well stocked. The home owner Michelle was available and communication was easy. Although things we chose to do were an hour drive or so (Asheville, Biltmore, Hiking, Grandfather Mountain) it was well worth it to enjoy this home!
