Quirky, arsty oasis literally on the station platform for Machu Picchu. So comfortable and relaxed. Delicious food sourced from the farm onsite and unusual alcohol also distilled onsite. A real treat.

The hotel itself is beautiful and the staff is excellent but the property is right on the train tracks. This creates a lot of noise if your room is near the front and the smell of train exhaust wafts into the room regularly.

This hotel is amazing!!! The grounds are beautiful, rooms are clean and comfortable, and the staff are really friendly. We loved that its right at the train station, which was super convenient. The food in the restaurant is excellent!

The wifi connections were spotty. Very tepid water in the showers. But the place is beautiful. Located next to the train station so a lot of smoke comes in to the restaurant throughout the day. The farm in the back is a nice plus.

Everything was lovely- the staff, rooms, breakfast buffet and grounds. The best was the location. It is literally along the train tracks where you catch the train to Machu Picchu (PeruRail, Inca and the luxury train). Do ask them about the path to take into the town center out the back of the hotel.

The property is delightful and best yet is located in the PeruRail station along the tracks where you board your train to Machu Picchu. Also, ask about the path in back of the property that takes you to the city center and Ollantayambo Archeological Site only 10 minutes walk away. Wonderful hotel!

Fantastic!!!

FANTASTIC! I was worried when I saw that the words "El Albergue" translated to "hostel" but this was no hostel. I had a beautiful room on the ground floor. It was completely silent after about 9 pm. I arranged through the hotel for a taxi to come and pick me up in Cusco. It was easy and seamless. The room was clean and the free breakfast was lovely. I would 100% stay here again and would recommend this place to anyone, especially because of it's convenient location directly inside the train station!

All of the food from the free breakfast to the dining options for lunch and dinner were delicious and beautifully presented. It was very fun to stay in a 100 year-old hotel and to walk around the gardens. Taste from the distillery and check out the coffee roasting.

Very cute and convenient when taking the train to MP at 6 am. We paid a lot of money for the food for the Christmas Eve dinner and it wasn’t good at all. Wasted our money. Other than that, it was a good place

Everything about El Albergue is incredible. Beautiful rooms and outdoor sitting areas, comfy bed, wonderful service. The entire property is spectacular with gardens, a distillery and coffee roasting. The morning breakfast was perfect before a day of exploring Ollantaytambo. The close proximity to the train station was also a plus! Oh and the restaurant and Cafe Mayu...So good! I hope I can return one day as I just loved the warmth of this hotel as well as the town of Ollantaytambo.

Excellent place , right on railroad so can be noisy during night , but it is also is the charm about this property . Phenomenal food and breakfast. Beautiful garden and farm . Highly recommend for two nights , Ollantaytambo is beautiful and ruins and walk to ruins is beautiful.

Lovely hotel great decor with beautiful surroundings and an amazing restaurant, we loved it so much that we ate there most days. You do hear the trains but that didn't impact our sleep.
