Convenient

We stayed here for a wedding nearby and the location was incredibly convenient. Definitely one of the main reasons we chose this rental. The space was overall very clean, which we appreciated. However, there were a few issues that made the stay less comfortable than we’d hoped. Unfortunately, the heat didn’t work during our stay, which was a big downside. The TV was quite old and didn’t work at all, and the Wi-Fi was also not functioning. With a few updates and some maintenance, this place could be a much better experience for future guests.

Late 60s great location condo

Condo was super functional. Fantastic location, very close walk to the lifts and village. The closet room (loft) gets a bit cold so be prepared.

Family ski trip

This property has a cosy living area with fireplace. We spent a lot of time here and it was great for games and watching TV. The kitchen/dining area was adequate and had everything we needed. Meals worked out well. Be aware that the 3rd bedroom is no more than a closet, perfectly functional for 1 adult or a couple of kids with no need for privacy. But when one of my sons invited his girlfriend guess who ended up in the closet? Me :) Another thing to be aware of is that there is no WiFi at all. 2 of my kids were taking college classes over the break but we were able to manage with 5G hotspots with our cell phones. It would have saved some moments of panic to know this in advance. The location is very close to the mountain but not really walkable for skiing. We drove to the parking lot for weekday skiing but don’t forget to make a parking reservation for the weekend. Alternatively try the Mountaineer free shuttle app to get back and forth from the mountain. This place is nothing fancy but I would definitely stay here again, especially knowing what I know now.

Poorly maintained and bad management

Roof leaks- we had the roof leak onto one of the beds for half our stay and management is not agreeing to compensate us and is trying to deny the roof leaks, even though we have pictures and six witnesses that say otherwise. Also deadbolt was broken on our arrival and we had to wait several hours to enter after they finally called locksmith to fix.

Overall, house was what we were expecting. Beds were not that comfortable and the room on the second floor seemed like a bed they just squeezed into a closet. Fairly, clean and easy to follow instructions to get in and out. Not a lot of toilet paper and paper towels were provided so we had to go out and get our own.

Awful stay - this lodge is not ready to be rented!

This is the first time we have to leave a bad review for a stay at Tahoe. This place is not ready to be rented. Here is a recap of our stay: 1) We arrive to a used diaper left behind in the downstairs bathroom. Nice. 2) The sink in the same WC is clogged to the point you can’t wash your hands without pausing the water flow. 3) There were three (3) glasses of wine in the cupboard, out of which 1 already had a huge crack. 4) A nightly visitor — a mouse that came to visit during our stay. 5) To top it all off, my wife forgot her gold ring, and of course it never turned up. We called the management company, who charged us $27 in order for them to « pass on the message » to the local office. Absurd. 6) Worst. Ever. Rental. 7) We hope the owner realizes what a disservice they’re doing to his place. Please either change management company or home share website.

Wonderful location

What a wonderful place to stay. It was just as described and was so close to the bike trails, hiking and Squaw. We would’ve appreciated more toilet paper and beware of one of the chairs on the patio because it is broken in the center and ripped a hole in one of my family members pants. We would definitely stay here again.

Convenient and comfortable walking distance to Squaw

This place had everything we needed, including extra power outlets, extra heaters, and a small light we made into a night light for the kids. The location can't be beat, and the only thing missing is a hot tub to make this our favorite rental.

Nice place but management was not good.

The place is good and nice for a ski area. Our problem was we came in after skiing in the freezing cold all day to a condo that was freezing. We turned up all the base board heaters and tried to turn on the gas fire place that was supposed to help according to directions pinned on the wall. It is how you respond to a problem in management. We called after an hour of trying to mess with it and get some hot air in the condo. It was 5 degrees outside but what is the point if it takes 5 hours to get up to temp. Figured that is what the fire is for. So called up customer service. They said they can send some one over. This was at 7 pm. By 930 they finally called back after me calling 3 times and said they will not be able to make it. This happened again on our second night. Could of just ran over a heater and taken care of. Instead I will never stay again with this management service.

So-so, but Great Location

The location for this property is it’s greatest asset. The property itself is a bit dated, but that’s not really the issue. We arrived to clean sheets and towels, but the apartment itself looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned in some time. There was a significant amount of dust on tables and counters, and on the living room upholstery itself. When we arrived the place smelled musty and stale. There were ants in the living room and kitchen. Overall, this is a good location and for the price I’m not sure you’ll find much better... but cleanliness could be much improved. Also, please note, the sleeping arrangements are not quite as advertised. Be aware; the 2 bunk beds in the second bedroom have summer camp style pads for mattresses and the 3rd bedroom is actually a closet with louvered doors off the mid stairway landing. It is just big enough to fit a double/single bunk bed. Literally, you open the little door and fall into the bed. Lastly it is important to note that the condo is not small child friendly. Lots of steps everywhere. As long as you are aware of the particulars of the condo, it is a great location for accessing the village

Location is perfect. The condo is very cute, but could use some cosmetic renovations and the kitchen and bathroom cabinets could use a deep cleaning. They were very dirty. If these things were done, we would definitely be back next year.

Nice, small apartment, walking distance to ski resort

We booked 5 nights but ended up staying only one. Unfortunately when we arrived it turnend out that there was a small leak in the roof affecting one of the bedrooms. This bedroom was not usable, which was a problem as we were 9 people. Eventually things like this can happen. It seemed that the leak just occurred that day. However Vacasa did what they can to accommodate the situation. They were able to provide another location the next day. The new location was a huge upgrade though it was not walking distance anymore. We arranged ourself the first night with one bedroom to little and moved our stuff the next day and enjoyed a really nice house for the next four days. Nothing Vacasa could have done better regarding the situation. Things just brake sometimes.

Great location! Condo was a bit run down but it was comfy and nice.

Convenient arrival, host was responsive to requests fairly quickly. This is a good place for a family. One room was more like a loft/closet with bunk beds. Second bedroom has 4 bunk beds. Master bed was a bit uncomfortable but did the job. Dishwasher was broken and there were no dish towels so doing dishes was a chore. It was light and bright, very close to village. We enjoyed the deck and made good use of the place. We were a group of 6 adults, so bunk beds weren't ideal. Plenty of fresh towels and bedding. We felt comfy and at home.

Dirty & not managed

Lack of cleanliness, cobwebs, old leaky rain gutters, water leaking on back deck, mice in kitchen & lower bath, light switch didn't work upstairs sink/bath/shower, dishwasher didn't turn on. All reported to local management with no response. This is our 2nd bad experience with Vacassa. Lack of response to our requests. Not managing properties, just collecting checks.

Perfect location, comfortable stay

Perfect location for a visit to Squaw - it was an easy 5-10 minute walk to the lifts, cheaper and more amenities than staying at the resort. Had everything we needed, and grocery stores were a 10-15 minute drive away. Would definitely stay here again next time I come to Squaw.

nice property, horrible property managers

We liked the layout, location, and amenities of this condo. It worked great for our family but we aren't likely to go back because the property management company was basically delinquent. For anyone also visiting during the summer, FYI that there's an air conditioning unit in the master bedroom closet. We only discovered it under some blankets as we were packing to leave. With the upstairs temperatures reaching the upper 80s until around 9p (not good for getting young children to sleep!), we sure wish we'd known about it. The binder doesn't mention it and, despite calls and emails to the property management company, we couldn't reach anyone to help us figure out how to abate the heat. Totally inept customer service! And so silly that they didn't ever respond to us, given that the fix was so easy. If only we'd known! Oh, also, buyer beware that they'll tack on a $175 cleaning fee and about $100 worth of mysterious service fees that aren't transparent when you book.
